Part Two #4 The two best friends dragged their feet outside each one of them occupied in their own thoughts. Fez was still confused and had so many questions to ask but “Can you please drive? I’m not in a good state to drive.” Dineo asked Fez took the car keys without saying a word and got in the driver’s seat as Dineo took the passenger’s seat. “Which music do you have here? I’m not going to listen to your stupid music.” Fez teased as she started the car. She was actually testing to see if it was now sa “You can connect your phone and play anything you want. Honestly I could do with your annoying gospel music today.” She connected her music and made a way by Travis Green started playing softly as the car took off. They both went quite as the song played penetrating deep “Does he make a way though Fez? You are more spiritual and understand better. Does God make a way?” “I believe he does. He says when the time is right I the Lord will make it happen. Problem is that we pray and want that something to happen instantly but if the “When is the right time?” “You just need to trust in his timing that’s all. If you ask and it doesn’t happen just wait and trust in his timing but what I can tell you is that he’s not a man that h “This is way too much.” She said looking out the window “There is a coffee shop. Let’s stop for coffee.” “Somethings will never change.” “I love my coffee.” They both laughed lighting up the mood as they stopped and entered the coffee shop. Fez was a coffee even when it was extremely hot she still preferred coffe “I believe you can do this Dee. when God wants to accomplish something big he normally chooses the unqualified. Goliath was killed by a small boy named Dav “I needed to hear that. Thank you.” She found it so unbelievable how she truly needed to hear that. She was not much of a believer like her friend and it annoyed her so much when people praised “You see when God wants to do something he touches a man to come down and do it on his behalf.” Fez would say when she complained. She believed in the “I will do some legal research. Get info on all the cases that deals with DID to help me start preparing for the trial. It’s not going to be easy Hannes Steenberg is Dineo gave her a quizzical look obviously not aware of the person she just managed. “Hannes Steenberg is the prosecutor assigned to the case. You must start following the news Dee. He is smart very smart and trust me he’s coming with all gun “ I will visit Doctor Pearson tomorrow for more guidelines. Maybe with time Madz can trust her and she can handle everything cos honestly this is all too much. “So this DID can it be cured?” Dineo “Unfortunately no.” “She is going to continue to be a killer?” “No. The goal is integration where the personalities need to agree on one thing since they are their own persons. They need to find ways to communicate with “Can they communicate to each other without Madzaleni unaware? Like now could they be discussing us? “Yes defiantly. The is one which we the protector that one appears when there is a threat they normally do the killings or push the other alters to do it like man “Gosh Dee this is fascinating. IF I wasn’t there with you I wouldn’t have believed this really happens. So maybe Maria, Matilda and that Nigerian were in some cr Dineo laughed nearly choking on her drink “Bathong such Drama e kana so Fez? Yes its possible they could have watched us and spoke amongst themselves discussing how to manipulate everything or “Like wake Madzaleni up?” “That can be one of the tricks yes.” Their conversation was disrupted by the phone. Dineo smiled after answering “Guess what?” “What?” “That was Madzaleni. She wants to meet again tomorrow.” ----- The following day Dineo and Fez arrived at the prison and Madzaleni was brought in. Gosh she looked like she had aged in just a month “How did you sleep?” Dineo “I hardly slept. I kept on thinking about those people you told me about and I remembered something I don’t know if this will help.” “Anything will be very helpful.” Fez “With all the murders I woke up in a very deep sleep and lost tract of time. I felt like something had taken over me. with Gerald I remember I was even shocked “That was when the other personality had taken over. I think your alters smokes and drinks. This tells me they are aware of each other and do communicate. Th “And again Sechaba showed me some footage of myself dressed in some weird clothes and heavy makeup. I was doing things I would never ever do in my life. The two friends looked at each other smiling “Wow this is great we can build a solid case from this.” Fez “Would you mind to talk to Sechaba?” “I don’t want to see him.” “I need to be at the hospital tomorrow. I have a meeting with the clinical manager to try and see if they can’t keep me here cos I was supposed to be going to S “My mother can also assist. She knows what really happened to malome Sello. The second man I allegedly killed. She made everything look like an accident and Dineo and Fez both wrote in their notebooks. Too bad it won’t be possible to talk to her mother but now it wasn’t the time to tell her this. “Can you hypnotise me again? maybe they will come and talk.” Madz The process started like the last time. “Hello I would like to talk to Mamosa please.” They all watched as Madzaleni’s facial expression started changing, her body started shaking and tears rolled on her cheeks “Ke ngwana wa hao Ntate ke ngwana wa hao.” A voice screamed Dineo took her notebook and started writing While her eyes were fixed on Madzaleni “Ntate ke ngwana wa hao ntshwarele Ntate. Bitso laka ka jeno ole kwale ke ngwana wa hao. Ke nna Maria.” Maria said with tears streaming down on her face w From the way Madzaleni had changed it was very much impossible to miss out that Maria was a staunch Christian. She looked to be a very deep spiritual perso “Maria can you please tell me why you are so emotional?” “I didn’t mean to kill him. I’m not a killer.” I go to church I sing at church, I preach and I was supposed to get married to both of them I didn’t mean to kill them. Y “I believe you. Who is them Maria?” “Meshack and Gerald.” “How did you kill them?” She sobbed uncontrollably struggling to talk “Maria how did you kill them?” “She made me kill me. She tricked me.” “Who?” “Matilda.” “So Matilda is the killer?” “No she…” Suddenly the was a loud laugh. The laugh of a drunk person. They all watched as Madzaleni’s face become alive. She looked like she was high on drugs. It was t “Fuck you. You think you can get her against me? I will fucken kill all of you. Get the hell out of here. Do you all know me?” “Matilda?” Dineo asked “Tilly its Tilly to you.” “Tilly can we talk?” “Fuck you.” “Tilly?” Silence “Tilly?” Silence “They are all gone. I need to bring her out of it. Madzaleni on a count of five you will wake up one two three four five…” Madzaleni slowly got up and rubbed her eyes trying to see everything clearly. “I was in some deep sleep again. Did any of them come out? Was I useless.” Fez covered her face with her hands and wept silently. How could a person go through so much and not even be aware of everything? Dineo joined her hands with Madzaleni’s and smiled. For her this was an achievement they were getting somewhere. ……
