Operation
Open frame multiwire machine for the production of marble slabs that performs blocks fast cutting
through a set of diamond wires.
Structure
Two columns strongly fixed to foundations and one connecting structure, that have been built with a wide
closed section in large thickness normalized steel work, form the machine structure.
Two strong sliders, that support machine operational elements, move vertically along guides fixed onto
the columns, by interposition of gibs for sliding lubricated with automatic system.
Sliders vertical movement is driven through large diameter screws, that are featured with anti wear
surface finish, that are synchronized through connecting shafts and operate on lead nuts equipped with
anti drop system and automatic lubrication system.
All the main parts have undergone structural checks in accordance with FEM (Finite Elements Method).
The main motor controlled by inverter drives the very large fly wheel pulley (2,3 m diameter) that
performs the diamond wires motion with the interposition of a set of modular bands.
The modular bands, composed of highly technological and anti abrasion composite material, have grooves
which permit to obtain a different cutting thickness simply by wires moving .
The individual tensioning action of the wires is powered through one oleo dynamic pump.
The wires tensioning system performs the movements necessary for diamond wires replacement and
repositioning to change the slabs thickness; it keeps the constant programmed tension on each wire and
individually compensates its stretching during cutting.
The machine is equipped with a telescopic device to hold separate the slabs during the cut, that enters
into function when the wires have reached a programmed depth and excludes during wires lift at cut end.

Control Panel.
The Control Panel comprises the graphic interface PLC for programming and monitoring the processing
parameters.
PLC controls the cut start by progressively increasing up to programmed values down feed and wires
speed, actuates and controls machine quick stop cycle in case of wire break down or water black out.
PLC controls as well vertical movement lead nuts wear condition, provides diagnostic and files production

bridge, realized in a thick iron structure, runs along two tracks fixed on concrete walls. The disk

The Customer shall also bear the expenses for the communications between Pedrini’s personnel and their head
office for work purposes, by purchasing local phone cards which shall be supplied to Pedrini’s personnel upon its
arrival at the location in which the warranty services are to be rendered.
The Customer shall not be entitled to withhold any payment due to Pedrini for any reason on the ground that
Pedrini has not lived up to its warranty obligations.
14. Operation and maintenance manuals.
Together with the Machinery Pedrini shall deliver one set of the operation and maintenance manuals of the major
components thereof in English language, or in compliance with the rules in force.
15. Spare parts.
Pedrini will make available, at prices, terms and conditions to be agreed upon from time to time such spare parts of
the Machinery as may be reasonably needed, for the period of ten (10) years from the date of the start-up.
16. Pedrini’s installation obligations.
Pedrini shall be relieved and released of all of its installation obligations should the installation not be started and
completed for causes attributable to the acts or omissions of the Customer within 6 (six) months of the date of
arrival of the Machinery at the site of its intended installation. Should Pedrini, at its sole discretion, choose to
proceed with the installation despite the elapse of said term, Pedrini and the Customer shall negotiate in good faith
the amount payable to Pedrini for such delayed installation services taking into due consideration the condition in
which the Machinery to be installed may thus be, possibly missing parts thereof and the increased manpower cost to
be borne by Pedrini for the installation personnel to be sent to the site of the installation.
17. Applicable law and exclusive jurisdiction.
The agreements set out in this proforma invoice shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Italy. Any dispute
arising out of the content of this proforma invoice shall be decided by the competent courts of Milan, Italy, which
shall be deemed to have exclusive jurisdiction over the parties and the subject-matter of the dispute. The Vienna
Convention regarding the international sale of goods shall not be deemed to apply.
18. Confidentiality clause.
All information and data set out in this document are and will be deemed, for all purposes, to belong to Pedrini and
to strictly pertain to the manufacture of its products. All rights to the same are expressly reserved. Such information
and data will be used by all persons to whom disclosure will be made only for the explicit or implicit purposes of this
document. Unless otherwise expressly authorized in writing by Pedrini the receiver of this document will not
reproduce nor publish the same nor any part thereof.
19. Validity period of prices and conditions.
The prices and conditions of the present proforma invoice are valid for 30 days from face date.
