2. Determine the divergence and curl of the following.

3. Evaluate the following Line integrals.

a f (x, y) = (x2 y, x − 2y) and C the curve r(t) = (t,t 2 ), with t running from 0 − 1

b g(x, y) = (x + y)i + (y − x) j along each paths in the xyplane below;

i The parabola y2 = x from (1, 1) to (4, 2).

ii The curve x = 2u2 +U + 1, y = 1 + u2 from (1, 1) to (4, 2).

c h(x, y, z) = (xy, z2 , x) along the curve given parametrically by x = 1 +t, y = 0, z = t 2 0 ≤ t ≤ 3

4. Consider the vector field

Let C1 and C2 be the curves from O = (0, 0, 0) to A(1,1,1), given by;

C1 : x = t, y = t, z = t, (0 ≤ t ≤ 1)

C2 : x = t 2 , y = t, z = t 2 , (0 ≤ t ≤ 1)

i Evaluate the line integral along each path.

c f = rsinθ er + rcosθ eϕ over the unit sphere.

9. Find the flux done by the vector field f = rsinθ er + 2rcosθ eθ + 3rez over the boundary of
the region over the boundary of the region inside the cylinder x2 + y2 = 9 between the planes
z = 0 and z = 4

i Using Divergence theorem

ii Without using Divergence theorem.

10. Find the workdone by the vector field f = rsinθ er + reθ + 4ez acting along the positive
oriented intersection of the sphere of radius R centered at the origin and horizontal plane
z = 21 R. as seen below;
