Introduction
This manual is designed to guide you through the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of
your N32B MIDI Controller. Follow these instructions to maximize the functionality and
performance of your device.

Overview
The N32B MIDI Controller features 32 potentiometer knobs, 2 buttons, a 3-digit 7-segment
display, TRS MIDI I/O, and USB-C connectivity, offering versatile control for your music
production setup.

Getting Started

Initial Setup
The N32B MIDI Controller can be powered by connecting it to a computer, a wall outlet with
a 5V USB output, or any device with a 5V USB output using the USB-C cable provided.

Connecting to Your Device

The N32B can be connected to any DAW or hardware device that supports MIDI. This
includes utilizing MIDI over USB for direct computer connections, or traditional MIDI
connections using the TRS MIDI input, output, and now including the MIDI THRU connectors
for daisy-chaining devices. Use an appropriate Type A TRS to DIN5 adapter for devices
requiring DIN5 connections, available in our online shop.

Basic Operations

Powering On and Mode Selection

Upon powering on, the N32B defaults to Global Channel Selection Mode. Hold the upper
button for 2 seconds at any time to return to this mode. Use the Up/Down buttons to select
your global channel or preset.

Preset Selection
Enter Preset Selection Mode by holding the lower button for 2 seconds. Navigate through
presets using the Up/Down buttons.
Sending Snapshot
To send the current knobs state, hold the lower button for 2 seconds to enter Preset
Selection Mode, release the button, and then hold it again for 2 seconds to send the
snapshot. Additionally, you can initiate a snapshot through a SysEx command. Detailed
instructions on this process can be found in the "N32B MIDI Implementation Manual."

Advanced Configuration

Using the Web Editor for Knob Customization

Access the web editor at editor.shik.tech, preferably with the Chrome browser, to customize
each knob's functionality. This tool enhances your N32B's versatility within your setup.

Managing Presets
With support for up to 3 quick presets and unlimited storage via the web editor, manage your
device's presets easily for various setups and performances. Export and import presets to
and from your computer for backup and sharing.

Firmware Update
Update your N32B MIDI Controller to the latest firmware using the "Firmware Updater"
software available at our website. This ensures your device operates with the latest features
and improvements.

Performing a Hard Reset

To reset the device to factory defaults, disconnect it from USB power, press and hold the
upper button, then connect the USB cable while still holding the button. Release after 5
seconds once a reset animation appears on the display. Note: This will delete all presets
stored on the device.

Troubleshooting
Device Not Recognized: Ensure you are using the DATA-capable USB-C cable provided. If
issues persist, try different USB ports or connect directly to your computer, avoiding USB
hubs.
Device Not Powering On: Verify the USB connection with another port or cable.
