Concrete Design Mix

The document outlines the design of concrete mixtures for paving and structural applications, detailing the proportions of ingredients needed to achieve desired workability, strength, and durability. It includes data from preliminary tests on fine and coarse aggregates, cement specifications, and adjustments based on moisture content and absorption rates. The final corrected weights for each component are provided for both concrete paving and structural concrete mixes.

Design of the Concrete Mixture

The main objective of the design is to determine

the proportion of the ingredients that will produce
concrete of the proper workability when fresh andthe
desired durability and strength after it has hardened.
