How can Pakistan Balance its relationship between US and China:

Consistency of relationship with china ,transitional ties with US.

Popular narrative with China as compared to US.

China strengthened military apparatus of Pakistan

Escalation of conflicts between US and China is inevitable under Trump

Significance of US for Pakistan:

Largest exporter

supporter in other institutions

mediator between pak and india

Importance of China :

Trade significance

investment of china in military development of pak

all weather friend

important partner in kashmir issue and india rivalry

Pakistan have three options

With china with US or balance

History tells us US is not reliable

Losing china will be sucidial attempt

to take side with China:

West will alienate us

imf world bank will be resentful

Pakistan cant go against any of the partner


Neutrality is the best choice

Leadership has to think that neutral ways

Pakistan cant afford to loose any of the both partners

Chinese policy is not strict if you have sided with US

US wants to contain China

Pakistan cant annoy any one

Pakistan need to navigate through troubled water
