Lab: Transitioning from Exchange Server 2007 to
Exchange Server 2010 (Beta)
During this lab, you will move mailboxes and other services from the Exchange Server 2007
server to the Exchange Server 2010 (Beta) server that was installed in Lab 1. In Lab 1, you
installed Exchange Server 2010 (Beta) into an Exchange Server 2007 organization, creating a
mailbox (Adam Barr) on the Exchange Server 2010 (Beta) server and then sent test emails
between the two servers.
The next step in transitioning to Exchange Server 2010 (Beta) is to move mailboxes from
Exchange Server 2007 server to the Exchange Server 2010 (Beta) server. Other services will
also be moved, offline address books and default Public Folder stores.
The current version of Exchange Server 2010 (Beta) does not support Public Folder
migrations so that final step in the transition process, along with uninstalling the last
Exchange Server 2007 server, will not be done in this lab.
Estimated time to complete this lab: 30 minutes
