SCMS NOIDA aims for quality education and aims at enhancing student engagement. This is
possible through innovative pedagogies integrated in the delivery of the course. We fully
leverage technology advancement for the same and use of flipped classroom is one such

Creating The Corporate Affairs Cell at SCMS NOIDA endeavors to create equal opportunities for all the
opportunities to students to nurture his/her professional career to the next level. It facilitates the transition of
students into the world of corporates by exposing them to hone skill set that is needed to carry
nurture student out a multitude of tasks to take right business decisions. Every year, the corporates and our
professional students interact on campus during various events organized by Corporate Affairs Cell of SCMS,
career NOIDA.
Objectives:
1. To build business corridors for enhancing corporate interaction with institute and to
solidify corporate relations.
2. To provide platform where the students interact with corporates and learn about the
contemporary requirements to update themselves for future career prospects.
3. To assist Students in building their career with best brands of national, and global origins.
4. To assist students in learning and experiencing real time corporate culture and business
practices by providing summer internship opportunities in reputed companies
representing various sectors.
This year the Corporate Affairs Cell has added 19 new companies like Genpact, Wipro, IHS
Markit, Square yards, Byju’s Brand samosa to name a few, followed by the existing recruiters
from the past like; Decathlon, Magnon eye+, FIS. These companies have offered placements
and SIP. The final placement and the SIP in these companies are encouraging, the details of
the placements are shared in the table below. Corporate Affairs Cell, also successfully placed
the students for summer internship and the hit- rate for same was 98%. Companies which
participated in the SIP saw an addition of 26 new organizations like IHS-Markit, TOI, Bridge-
group Solutions to the existing 6 old recruiters.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell planned to conduct various events and encourage budding
entrepreneurs to participate in such events at other institutions. It helps to promote and develop
an entrepreneurial mindset among the students.
1. Guest lectures- Interaction with an expert always remains fruitful for budding
entrepreneurs to get real-world insights. EDC cell invites successful entrepreneurs to
share the experiences and challenges faced in their entrepreneurial journey. Some of
the primary focuses of these sessions are how to attract investors, marketing strategies,
how to develop products etc.
2. B-plan Competitions: EDC cell have organized business plan competitions to
encourage the students to participate actively and motivate them to participate in
contests held in different colleges. Such competitions provide the opportunity to learn
about the skills, strategy and blueprint required for startups and businesses.
3. Live case study challenge of a startup: There are several competitions like" live case
study challenge", where students get a business case study. They will have to solve it
and bring about the business's potential and further develop it. Such competitions
stimulate one’s mind and help them think towards the business prospects.
4. Other types of competitions: Such contests are different that give different
perspectives to think and act. They are like turning failures into success, selling
strategies (promotional and designing), Pitch a product on the spot, and presenting on
the site for current issues and the opportunity to convert them into business.

The cell fosters international learning through collaborations across the globe. One such
wonderful opportunity provided to students of SCMS NOIDA was a Collaborative Online
International Learning (COIL) Course on Cross-Cultural Management with students of
Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS). The COIL was a four-week certified course
from April to June 2021 on a study about the differences and similarities in the consumption
habits of the students from SCMS and AUAS followed by a collaborative project done by
students of both institutions.
The institute’s BBA course has an enrolment of international students from all around the globe
with numerous ethnicities and cultures. Internationalization cell at SCMS NOIDA nurtures
international students through Buddy initiatives. Buddy meetings are held to build a sense of
togetherness among international students and provide them a platform to discuss their
curricular and co-curricular activities. With continuous Buddy meetings, the cell ensures that
every international student is able to engage and converse with students from different corners
of the world and get a sense of association.
To further attain the internationalization objectives, the Internationalization Cell at SCMS, NOIDA
initiated in 2020 Global Talk Series on Management Practices in Industry 4.0. Management
practices usually refers to the working methods and innovations that managers use to improve
the effectiveness of work systems. Till now, we have successfully organized more than 16 Global
Talks series inviting international practioners of eminence from different countries across the
globe to address and enlighten our students on various areas of Industry 4.0.
In the future, the cell strives to collaborate with universities to promote holistic international
education and to conduct various events at the international stage to familiarize students with
the skills needed to work in an international environment.

It was the first business fest hosted by SCMS NOIDA which was held on 12th & 13th March
2021. It was a two-day affair which was organized by all the five academic clubs namely,
Business Analytics, Marketing, International Business, Finance, and Human Resources. The fest

by industry experts and area chairs helped students in deciding major and minor specializations.
Ice-Breaking Session
SCMS NOIDA arranged this interactive session. Ice-breaking sessions are a great way to break
monotony, motivate and energize people. Main objective was to break the ice and focus on
mental health of students and enlightening them on importance of mental health and reducing
the stigma about mental health issues. This type of sessions aims to create a safe and sound
environment where students can talk freely with the mentors and each other. Furthermore,
making students explore their inner self. Many fun activities and a games were arranged to
motivate and rejuvenate students.
We help students find their inner strengths and talents to improve them and showing a direction
towards making positive contributions in their lives. People accomplish their dreams only when
they get good guidance and mentoring. We try to enrich lives of college students by
understanding their mind-set, trying to reduce their stress and helping them in personal and
professional matters etc.

State of art SCMS NOIDA is located amidst the IT and knowledge hub. It is just a stone’s throw away from
infrastructure the airport. The Institute has a sprawling campus at NOIDA having easy connectivity to all the
provided at our major cities. The Institute is Wi-Fi enabled with advanced/ sophisticated infrastructure. The
campus classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned and equipped with audio-visual aids. It is equipped
with seminar hall, conference hall, library and reading room, computer laboratory, auditorium,
cafeteria, fully equipped gymnasium and place for outdoor / indoor games. SCMS NOIDA is a
place where progressive management thoughts evolve and practices the pedagogy of
experiential learning.
We also provide you the book bank facility. Every year an extensive collection of textbooks is
added to the existing book bank of the library.
Computer Lab
SCMS NOIDA has two computer labs with total capacity of 125 systems. The labs are equipped
with internet connectivity, LCD projector, scanner cum printer and power backup support. Users
are expected to abide by the guidelines for acceptable use of technological resources for
learning, assessments, knowledge dissemination and official communication. You are advised
to refrain from using these resources for any purpose other than academics.
You are required to go through following points while using the IT resources:
Net connectivity in the computer lab for e-mailing, chatting, browsing or downloading for
personal use is prohibited.
Activities that violates the copyright and other IP contracts by unauthorized access and
use of resources must be avoided.

Refrain from moving, attaching, detaching the hardware equipment (printer, cable,

The Campus has multi-level parking facility for students and staff, which is well maintained and
manned by security guards throughout the day. Vehicles without vehicle pass are not permitted
to enter the campus.

For your convenience, we facilitate a reprography centre. It also houses a stationery outlet where your
requirements are met.
Seminar Hall
The Seminar Hall equipped with all modern technical aids for guest lectures, screening of films,
presentations, and workshops etc.
Auditorium
The world class auditorium features high-definition screen with LED display, in-built audio
system, high-end speakers and special sound system, making it one of a kind facility, capable
of enhancing every performance. An opulent seating capacity of 480 people, the auditorium is
used for various activities and celebrations like Induction Day, Republic Day, Independence Day,
Farewell Functions and other Cultural Functions.
Examination helps you to understand the learning form the programme. Following points are to be
noted regarding examination system:
The examinations at SCMS NOIDA include both continuous assessments and term-end
evaluation.
Continuous internal evaluations are continuous in nature and conducted throughout the
term.
Term-end or External Examination is conducted at the end of every semester.
The grading will be based on the relative performance of the students in the class.
If you fail in continuous / term-end examination of a course, you shall appear in the next
examination season in the form of backlog.
Certificate of Merit for best academic performance in the programme is awarded every
year to the academic topper completing each degree programme and eligible for award
of degree at the convocation of that year.
You are expected to meet the attendance eligibility criteria for the term end examination
which are as follows:
o Minimum 75% attendance in aggregate is mandatory for all the students to be
eligible to appear for the external examination of all courses of the term.
o If your aggregate attendance is below 75% then you will be granted (TNG) and
thus will not be granted the permission to appear for the term- end examination.
Further, if your attendance is below 75% in a particular course then the you will
be awarded Course Not Granted (CNG) and thus will not be granted the
permission to appear for the examination of the respective course.
This code of conduct is drawn in line with Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune
Things to guidelines and the students are required to comply with it.

Identity Card
The University urges you to understand the spirit of donning an identity card as it has a number
of implications, like:

The pride of belonging to a premier institute.
We will issue an identity card and you are expected to carry it on the campus. In case, it is lost,
you should immediately report to the Admin Officer and get a new one issued.

You are expected to attend all lectures/ sessions and academic activities for your
betterment. It is mandatory for every student to have at least 75% attendance in class,
virtually or in- person (as the case may be).
Attendance for Guest lectures, Workshops and Seminars is mandatory.
In case the prescribed minimum attendance is not fulfilled, you will not be eligible to
appear for the examination and shall automatically be categorized under TERM NOT
GRANTED (TNG) or COURSE NOT GRANTED (CNG). No requests for relaxation in
this criterion will be entertained.
You are expected to monitor your attendance on a daily/weekly basis on the Learning
Management System (LMS) portal. No separate communication will be sent on the
shortfall of attendance.

Dress Code
As per the guidelines of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, your dress should
befit the institute and reflect the stature and the class of Symbiosis. The following dress code is
to be followed:
Discipline
Any act of indiscipline/insubordination or misbehavior by any student, faculty member and
administrative staff will attract penalties / punishment, a few instances of indiscipline are listed
below (not exhaustive)
Loud/ impolite talk/ use of un-parliamentary language which offends the listener
Damaging the campus property due to negligence/lack of care
Instigating or abetting collective insubordination including mass bunking
Misbehavior with faculty, staff and fellow students
Inviting any person/ group to address the students of the college, without prior written
permission of authorities
Consumption or possession of alcohol / drugs and being under their influence while on
campus or at functions
Having food or chewing gum in classrooms, computer labs, library and office area
Misrepresentation of facts for getting admission at the Institute
Theft, gambling, sexual harassment, physical fights / bouts with each other, smoking on
Symbiosis campus, indecent behavior in public places
Any other offence not included in this list will be dealt with on a case to case basis. Misconduct
of students in any form is not acceptable as per the student code of conduct and illustrative list

No association or society shall be formed by the students without the approval of the concerned
authority.
Communication to students
You will be communicated about the class schedule via official email/ LMS and
messages displayed on the notice board. It is important that you keep yourself well-
informed regarding any changes in timetable and other announcements. It is your
responsibility to be up-to-date with all the communication made from time to time.
Official email id should be used only for academic and official purposes. It should not be
used for any kind of social communication. Any malicious communication sent to or from
the official email id will be considered as misuse of the institute’s property and the
student’s college mail-id will be suspended with immediate effect.
Note
You are bound by all the rules and regulations of SIU.
All disputes pertaining to sale of prospectus, conduct of examinations and admission to
the Centre/institute are subject to the jurisdiction of Pune, Maharashtra only.
Anti-Ragging Committee
Ragging is totally prohibited in Symbiosis International University and in its Constituent Institutes.
Anyone found guilty of ragging and / or abetting ragging whether actively or passively, or being
a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with UGC
Regulations 2009 as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force.
