To start, let’s sing a little song about our art tools. It's a familiar
tune, but with new words. Let's listen carefully and sing along
softly:
What were your impressions of the artwork we just viewed? It’s very artistic!
What did you notice about the colors, shapes, and overall style? The colors are very vibrant and the art is aesthetically
pleasing. I want one in our house.
This rock is called a Marble. Have you seen rocks like this? Yes, I've seen some by the roadside. People were
collecting them with a machine.
That’s right! Marble is often found in mountain ranges. It is
extracted from mountains through a process called quarrying,
which involves drilling, blasting, water jets, and wedging.
In the Philippines, the province of Bulacan is the biggest marble
producer.
The art pieces you saw during our gallery walk were all created
using a technique called marbling. It's a beautiful and Yes, Teacher!
fascinating art form, isn't it?
Now, are you ready to learn how to create your own marbling Yes!
masterpieces? Before we begin, let's quickly review our
classroom rules to ensure we have a safe and productive art
session.
Now that we’ve reviewed the classroom rules, let’s begin our
marbling tutorial. Let’s watch this video.
