At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Explain the function of lighting system.
2. Understand the operation of the various lighting circuits on the vehicle.
3. Important of switches and Lighting system.

A. Preparatory Activity

Daily Routine
Good Morning class! Good Morning Sir!
Please arrange your chairs and pick up some
pieces of garbage under your chair.
You may take your seat. Who are absent for
today?
Before we are going to start with our lesson, can
you still remember the different new normal classroom
rules? What are those?
Yes Sir!
1. Always wear your face mask
2. Let your teacher check your temperature
before entering
3. Always use hand sanitizers/alcohol
4. Practice social distancing
5. Stay in your area/desk/chair
6. Do not share your personal things
7. Cover your mouth or nose when you
cough/sneeze
8. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
9. Stay at home when you are not feeling well
That’s Great! So, remember and adhere to these
rules for your safety.

Say: Assuming that this vehicle can still be driven, do


you think this can be driven on highways or is this safe
to be used during traffic or even nighttime?

I. Activity

Say: Today, you are going to have an activity. For the


first part of the activity you are going to label the
different kinds of lighting system used in a car. For the
second part of activity, you are going to name the
following electrical components mostly used in
electrical system.

Say: Let’s discuss your activity.

Guide Questions: The lighting circuits of today’s vehicles can consist


1. What is Lighting System? of more than 50 light bulbs and hundreds of feet of
wiring. Incorporated within these circuits are circuit
protectors, relays, switches, lamps, and connectors.
In addition, more sophisticated lighting systems use
computers and sensors.

1. Is the Lighting System important? Why? Yes! Lighting system plays an important role on a
vehicle. It enables the driver to see everything that is
on the road. Additionally, these lighting systems
enable other drivers to see other vehicles on the way.
It significantly contributes to preventing the
occurrences of accidents, especially at night. In other
words, lighting system is also about security and
communications.

2. What is the function of Lighting System? Automobile lighting system has multiple functions
as follows:
• It provides illumination for the driver of a vehicle
to drive safely in the dark.
• Automobile lights enhance the visibility of an
automobile.
• Automobile lights act as the warning signals. With
lights the car’s presence, position, size, speed, and
direction are detected by other motorists.

IV. Application
Now, you will watch a video presentation about
“Lighting System” .But before that please get all your
notebooks and pen and jot down important ideas about
the topic. Before will start the video presentation here’s
the guide question.

1. Why it is necessary to dim your headlight when This is to protect the vision of the driver and avoid
there is an incoming car if you are driving at accidents. When driving at night light is crucial,
