that one prepares with ones hands from not working, will be
eliminated.

Preparation
Grind ingredient items 1 to 4 together and then dry them in the sun.
When properly dry, grind them into fine powder. Use the powder
to imprint Iret8 Osé on the right, Ejì Ogbé in the middle, and
Obara Iká on the left of a big Ifá tray or white flat plate. The
incantation below will then be recited into it. We will now pour the
powder inside as many bottle-shaped calabashes (sééré) as can
contain the Ifa preparation. We will then slaughter the ram and the
rooster and pour their blood on the outside of each sééré, making
sure that the blood does not touch the powder inside the sééré.
Some of the hair and the feathers will then be stuck onto the blood
around the outside of each sééré. The ram and rooster will then be
cooked and part of them will be used to feed Sang6 along with two
bitter kolas. The sééré should be removed the next day.
" This Ifa preparation can only be used at night and with cold
porridge. Jt must never be used more than two times in a year. It is
too powerful to be used more frequently than that.

The two leaves will be ground together into a fine paste. The paste
will be divided into two portions. One part will be mixed with
soap. The other part will be put inside a small clay pot. One of the
pigeons will be slaughtered on Ifa. The feathers will be removed.
Dress the pigeon for cooking and place it in the pot to be cooked.
Salt and palm oil will be added as appropriate. Jyérdsuin will then
be used to imprint Iwòrì Méji on the Ifá tray or a white flat plate.
The Odu incantation above will be recited into it. The iyérdsun will

slaughtered on Ifá. The chest will be sliced open and the soup will
be placed inside its chest. More iyérdsun will be added to the Ifa
tray or white flat plate and Iw6ri Méji will be imprinted. The
incantation will be recited again. The iyérdosun will this time be
poured on the pigeon with its open chest that contains the soup.
The person for whom this Ifá preparation is made will then go to
where there is an anthill in the forest. The person will go with
about 25 litres of fresh water for bathing. Héshe will then break the
head of the anthill and stand on top of it. As soon as the ants begin
to come out, héshe will begin to bathe while using the pigeon with
its chest open as a sponge. As soon as héshe finishes bathing,

gets to the house, héshe will eat the soup that had earlier been
prepared with the first pigeon.
Very early the following day, this person will go to the place
where héshe had taken hisher bath. Héshe will look at the hole that
héshe had made on the anthill where héshe had dropped the
pigeon. If the ants have built back the hole, this person will
certainly attain land where they will be able to build what they like

Carefully crack a tiny hole on the head of the fresh egg. Use a
needle to insert the nine ai/u leaves and the nine grains of alligator
pepper in an alternating way. After this, insert the cowrie shell into
the egg. Look for something like polythene or nylon to cover the
egg where it was broken. Look for three small pebbles to serve as
support for the egg to help it remain standing while in a small clay
pot. Boil the egg with a little water.
Very early the next day, the shell of the egg will be removed and
be given to the woman to eat. When her teeth touch the cowrie, she
will remove the cowrie from the egg. Both the shell of the egg and
the cowrie will then be put inside some cotton wool and will be
wrapped tightly with white and black thread. This package will be
kept somewhere in the house where it will be left dangling. As
soon as the pregnancy reaches the ninth month, the cotton wool
