Unit, and a black character is a procedure of reference part.

11-2-15. Removing the Master Making Unit


(1) Switch off the machine power, remove the Front cover and Master
making unit front cover. (Refer to 1-5-1, 1-5-2)

(1) Remove the Front cover together with the Front door by removing screws.
Caution in mounting the Front cover back on the machine.
Mount the screws in the order from [1] to [9], as indicated on the sketch below.
1~2; M4 x 8 bind screw
3~5; Shoulder screw
6~7; M4 x 10 w-sems screw
8~9; M4 x 8 bind screw

(1) Remove screws (M4 x 8 screw; 4 pcs) from the Master making unit front cover and remove the cover.

(2) Remove the Left top cover, Rear top cover and Rear cover.
(Refer to 1-5-4, 1-5-5, 1-5-7)

(1) Remove screws (M4 x 8 screw; 4 pcs), and remove the Left top cover.

(3) Remove the Master cover upper and lower. (Refer to 11-2-1, 11-
2-2)
11-2-1. Removing the Master Cover Upper
(1) Switch off the machine power.
(2) Remove the Master cover upper together with the two Springs. (M3 x 8 screw; 2 pcs)

11-2-2. Removing the Master Cover Lower


(1) Switch off the machine power.
(2) Remove the Master cover lower. (M3 x 8 screw; 2 pcs)

(1) Attach the Master cover lower while pushing to the arrow direction.

(4) Remove the Magnet catch bracket. (Refer to 11-2-11)
(5) Remove the Panel back cover. (Refer to 11-2-11)
11-2-11. Open the Master making unit cover widely
(1) Switch off the machine power, remove the Front cover and Left top cover. (Refer to 1-5-1, 1-5-4)
(2) Remove the Master cover upper and lower. (Refer to 11-2-1, 11-2-2)
(3) Remove the Magnet catch bracket. (M4 x 8 screw; 2 pcs)

(4) Remove the Panel back cover. (M4 x 8 screw; 3 pcs)

(6) Remove the Operation panel unit and unplug the Connector. (Refer
to 11-2-11)
(7) Unplug the six Connectors and unhook the two Reuse band.
(Refer to 11-2-11)
(8) Remove the Panel lower cover with pulling out the Wire harness.
(Refer to 11-2-11)

(5) Remove the Operation panel unit and unplug the Connector. (M4 x 8 screw; 3 pcs)

(6) Unplug the six Connectors and unhook the two Reuse band.
(7) Remove the Panel lower cover with pulling out the wire harness. (M4 x 10 screw; 3 pcs)

(9) Shift the Front top stay. (Refer to 11-2-11)

(10) Remove the Thermal print head assembly. (Refer to 11-2-7)

(1) Switch off the machine power.
(2) Open the Master cover upper and remove the Antistatic brush plate. (M3 x 8 screw; 4 pcs)

(4) Open the Master making unit cover.


(5) Unplug the four Connectors. (Beforehand be sure to remove the static electricity charged in your body.)

(6) Remove the Snap ring, the Spring and Metal bushing.
(7) Slide off the another Metal bushing from the TPH bracket and remove the Thermal print head assembly.

(11) Remove the Power supply cover. (M4 x 8 screw; 6 pcs)

(2) Unplug the Connector and remove the Master cover lower set sensor assembly. (M3 x 8 screw; 1 pc)
(3) Unhook and remove the Master cover lower set sensor.

(13) Remove the Write pulse motor assembly. (Refer to 11-2-5)

(1) Switch off the machine power, remove the Front cover and Master making unit front cover. (Refer to 1-5-1, 1-5-
2)
(2) Unplug the Connector and unhook the outer side Timing belt.
(3) Remove the Write pulse motor assembly. (M3 x 8 screw; 2 pcs)

< Precaution in Reassembly >
(1) When installing the Write pulse motor assembly back on the machine, screw on the assembly on the machine
loosely. Then push the whole assembly to the paper eject direction to apply tension on the timing belt. With
adequate tension applied on the timing belt, securely tighten the mounting screws.

(14) Remove the Cutter unit. (Refer to 11-2-8)

(1) Switch off the machine power, remove the Front cover and Master making unit front cover. (Refer to 1-5-1, 1-5-
2)
(2) Remove the Write pulse motor assembly. (Refer to 11-2-5)
(3) Remove the Write roller pulley. (M3 x 8 screw; 1 pc)
(4) Unplug the two Connectors and remove the Cutter unit. (M3 x 8 screw; 1 pc)

(1) Insert the leading edge of the Cutter unit in the hole of Rear frame.

(15) Remove the Write roller and Assist roller. (Refer to 11-2-9)

(1) Switch off the machine power, remove the Front cover and Master making unit front cover. (Refer to 1-5-1, 1-5-
2)
(2) Remove the Write pulse motor assembly. (Refer to 11-2-5)
(3) Remove the Thermal print head assembly. (Refer to 11-2-7)
(For prevent the damage to the Thermal print head assembly.)
(4) Remove the two Snap rings and pull out the Master guide flap assembly.

(5) Remove the Write roller pulley. (M3 x 8 screw; 1 pc)
(6) Remove the Bearing support bracket. (Plastic E-ring; 1 pc, M3 x 8 screw; 2 pcs)

(7) Pull out the Write roller through the hole on the front side frame.
(8) Remove the Rear cover and swing open the Power supply unit. (Refer to 1-6-2)
(9) Pull out the Assist roller through the hole on the front side frame. (Plastic E-ring; 1 pc)

(16) Remove the Side frame cover. (M4 x 8 screw; 6 pcs)


(17) Remove the Cover plate. (M3 x 8 screw; 2 pcs)

(18) Remove the Load pulse motor assembly. (Refer to 11-2-6)

(1) Switch off the machine power, remove the Rear cover and swing open the Power supply unit. (Refer to 1-6-2)
(2) Unplug the Connector and remove the Load pulse motor assembly. (M3 x 8 screw; 1 pc, M3 x 6 screw; 1 pc)

Since it interferes with other parts, the lengths of two screws differ.

(19) Unplug the four Connectors and remove the Ground terminal.

(20) Make the Wire harnesses free from the Wire saddles and pulling the
Wire harnesses out through the rear frame.

(21) Remove the Top support bracket. (M4 x 10 screw; 2 pcs)
(22) Remove the Hinge mounting bracket F and R. (M3 x 8 screw; 2
pcs and 3 pcs)
(23) Remove the Side cover. (M4 x 8 screw; 3 pcs)
(24) Remove the Paper receiving tray jam cover. (Refer to 7-2-7)

(26) Remove the two Air duct bracket. (M3 x 8 screw; 2 pcs each)

(1) To mount the Master making unit back on the machine, insert the
cutouts of on the Master making unit (Right and Left) into the shafts on
the front side and rear side of the machine frame.
