Students demonstrated their ability to use a variety of different applications as well as their coding and problem
solving ability. Zakariya used HTML coding to produce their own website, using pictures that were taken in and
around the school.

Zakariya sometimes demonstrates an understanding of the recipes and skills required for this course. He can
work on completing all required assignments. Zakariya at times seems quite withdrawn from class and is not fully
present. I hope moving forward he can have more positive interactions with his peers and calls material.

Zakariya was between Developing and Proficient in this class. Art skills seemed Proficient but effort declined over
the 6 weeks and phone use became an issue. Effort and focus were an issue at times in the course. Zakariya shows
interest in artistic expression and is willing to experiment with different techniques.

Zakariya is a friendly, polite, and collaborative student who exhibits a proficient level of understanding in his
studies. He consistently demonstrates a complete grasp of the concepts and competencies relevant to our
expected learning outcomes, highlighting his commitment to academic excellence. In classroom discussions,
Zakariya actively engages and contributes valuable insights, making him a valuable member of our learning
community. Recognizing his commitment to building a strong academic foundation, I recommend that Zakariya
consider enrolling in Math 9 next year. This step will contribute to his long-term success by ensuring a solid
grounding in mathematical concepts. I am confident that Zakariya's continuous growth and success will be
remarkable, and I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Well done, Zakariya!

In physical and health education 8, students participated in a variety of physical activities designed to develop and
maintain health related components of fitness. Students were expected to participate safely and fairly in these
activities, while being encouraged to develop and demonstrate their leadership abilities. Students also explored
goal setting, healthy eating, sources of health information and healthy decision making. Zakariya has very strong
soccer skills and consistently demonstrated effective game play in a variety of games. To further improve learning,
Zakariya is encouraged to ask questions as needed, and ensure health assignments are completed and handed in
on time. All the best in second semester!

Good attitude and a cooperative and capable student but can be easily distracted by others from his work.
Zakariya demonstrates a well-rounded understanding of the concepts and competencies relevant to the expected
learning outcomes. Improved work habits, effort and focus, along with working on organizational skills will lead to
greater academic success.
Ms. J Crosson

The ADST Technology 8 class is an introduction to the Trades and Technology courses offered at Fraser Heights
Secondary. Students may sample woodwork, metalwork, electronics and other Technology courses. Our main
focus, in all areas, is always safety. In our course, students learned and used hand and machine skills to produce
small projects such as a wood oven tool, a wood basketball game, a metal hook, a metal balancing man, an
electronics flasher and other small projects as time permitted. We hope Zakariya enjoyed their time in our shops.
If they wish to continue improving their skills and build more complex projects, they should enroll in Technology
courses next year, in Grade 9
