5. Special Permit- International recognition 5yrs.
6. Must get 18 units for not education courses
7. Refresher course- passed the let but did not teach within 5 yrs must get
RC with 12 units (6 content, 6 pedagogy)

TEACHING:
• As a profession- graduated in a 4yrs education course
• As a vocation- if it’s a response to a calling
• As a mission- when you accomplished a task, inculcate the 4 M's
(Makalikasan, Makabansa, Makatao, Makalikasan)
DIRECT LEARNING
§ MODELLING- teacher I do and u watch
§ INDEPENDENT LEARNING- u do it alone, self- directed learning or
discovery
§ PEER DIRECTED LEARNING- pair with another student
§ GUIDED PRACTICE- teacher and student do the task together
KINDS OF LEAVE
§ Vacation Leave: non teaching personnel can enjoy 15 days of vacation
leave annually.
§ Sick Leave: DepED personnel also have access to 15 days of sick leave
each year.
§ Maternity Leave: Female DepED teachers are entitled to 105 days of
fully paid maternity leave for the first four deliveries.
§ Paternity Leave: Male DepED personnel can avail 7 days of fully paid
paternity leave.
§ Study Leave: 7 years in service- 60% monthly salary (1 yr study leave)
