I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learners demonstrate their multiliteracies and communicative competence in
evaluating informational texts (academic text: expository essays) and transactional
texts (letter of request) for clarity of meaning, purpose, and target audience as a
foundation for publishing original informational and transactional texts.
B. Performance Standard The learners analyze the style, form, and features of informational texts (expository
essays) and transactional texts (letter of request); evaluate informational and
transactional texts for clarity of meaning, purpose, and target audience; and compose
and publish original multimodal informational texts (expository essays) and
transactional texts (letter of request) using appropriate forms and structures that
represent their meaning, purpose, and target audience.
C. Learning At the end of the session, the Learner should be Able to:

Reading text:
The Filipino have a unique taste most especially in food
that they eat. They came up with the different sauce to
entice their appetite.

Bagoong is a famous sauce in our country. It is made from


fish which taste delicious when serve with vegetables. The Learner will read
Cebu’s lechon is also a sauce to remember. It brings out the passage.
Activity the juicy taste of lechon. Ilocos also its special vinegar. It
taste awesome with may food especially with bagnet. For
those who wants sweets, we have latik, it is a syrup made
from a coconut which taste like honey. It is usually used as
a sauce for suman. Lastly the patis or fish sauce is the
extracted juice from some fish which taste delicious with
different Filipino dishes such as sinigang at nilaga. Patis is
the trade mark of the filipinos when it come to sauce.

These taste is just some of the famous sauce from our


country. How about you ? what is the famous sauce in your

General Statement- is a main idea that is supported by
specific statements or details. The main idea can be
identified by asking:

Supporting statement are the details or small ideas


that reinforce the main idea or the general
statement. Supporting details are specific
information such as facts, examples, reasons, facts
or statistics that elaborate, or explain about the
general statement or idea. Specific statements
answer the Who, What, When, Where and Why.
