 1.0 introduction.`

The purpose of this technical report is to address the common challenges faced by enterprises
when using printers and recommending a printer which is an all-in-one printer that offers
printing scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities making it versatile for various needs The
audience for this report is computer technicians. Chapter 2.0 provides more specifics of this
problem and solution. Chapter 3.0 will provide the criteria list to judge the solution.

2.1 Background – Paper jam challenge when printing large printing jobs
Large print job-induced paper jams are a prevalent challenge in office environments, affecting
employees who heavily rely on office printers for their daily document needs. These jams tend
to occur during peak office hours when multiple users simultaneously send large print jobs to
the central office printer. The root causes of this issue are multifaceted, including wear and tear
on the printer's paper feed mechanisms, the use of subpar or damaged paper, inadequate
maintenance practices, and mismatches in paper size and weight with the printer's
specifications. To address this issue, a comprehensive approach is needed in chapter 2.2.
