Advisory and Instructions for the Candidates of the Common University Entrance Test
CUET (PG) - 2025 - Reg.
Dear Candidate,
The National Testing Agency is conducting the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)
between 13 March 2025 and 01 April 2025.
We hope that you have downloaded the Admit Card and are now fully prepared to appear for the
CUET PG 2025 Examination on the date, shift, Course, and venue of the Test Centre as
indicated on the Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website i.e.
https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/

No Candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination
practices as the examination centres are under surveillance of CCTV and equipped with
Jammers.

Kindly keep in mind the following:

1. AADHAAR verification:

➢ Candidates are advised to bring their AADHAAR Card as verification of the

candidates will be carried out through the AADHAAR authentication process.

➢ Initially, Biometrics will be done by taking the thumb impression of the candidate
multiple times. For any candidate, whose thumb impressions will not match, then
Biometrics will be carried out through the iris.
➢ If any candidate does not carry an AADHAAR card, his/her verification will be carried
out by other means. This will be recorded in the Exception Form.
2. Please download your Admit Card from the NTA website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/

3. Please check the Reporting Time at Centre, Gate Closing time of Centre, Date of Examination,
Shift and Timings of Test, Venue of Test following as indicated on the Admit Card.

4. Please check the schedule / Datesheet (Annexure 3) for the CUET (PG) – 2025 available on
the website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/ and appear as per the subject(s) mentioned in
your Admit Card.

5. You should visit the Examination Centre, in advance and familiarize yourself with the location
and means of reaching the venue of the Test on time.

6. On the day of the Examination, please reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time
mentioned in the Admit Card. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of the Centre, you
will not be allowed to enter the Test venue. Instructions have been issued for strict compliance.
Several pre-examination formalities need to be completed and therefore please arrive on time.

7. You should carry with you only the following items:

• Personal transparent water bottle,
• A simple transparent Ball Point Pen
• Admit Card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA
website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
• Additional passport-size photograph for pasting on the Attendance Sheet
• Original valid ID proof

8. Before reaching the Centre, candidates must enter the required details, paste the Photograph,
and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the Admit Card. They should ensure
that their Left-Hand Thumb Impression is clear and not smudged.

9. Candidate must carry “Any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by
the Government” – PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With
photograph)/ E-Aadhaar/ Ration Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No. with Photo. All other
ID/Photocopies of IDs even if attested/scanned photo of IDs in the mobile phone will NOT be
considered valid ID Proof.

➢ PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under the
PwD category. Candidates with Physical Disability are requested to report early for
facilitation during entry.
➢ A PwD candidate (having a physical limitation to write) who will be availing the facility of
Scribe will be allowed Compensatory/ Extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the
examination, whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not.
➢ The facility of the Scribe, in case he/she has a physical limitation and a scribe is essential
to write the examination on his/her behalf, being so certified in the prescribed format by
a CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care
Institution.
➢ The facility of Scribe will be provided to the PwD candidates only if he has opted for
the same in the online Application Form of CUET (PG) - 2024.

➢ The candidate had the discretion of opting for his own Scribe or to avail the facility
of Scribe provided by the NTA. Appropriate choice in this regard has been given by
the candidate in the online Application Form.

10. Candidates are NOT allowed to carry any other personal belongings including electronic
devices, or mobile phones to the Examination Centre. Examination Officials will not be
responsible for the safekeeping of personal belongings and there will be no facility.

11. Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. Candidates
must write their name and Roll Number at the top of each of the sheet(s) and must hand over
the sheet/s to the invigilator without fail, before leaving the Examination Hall/Room. Failure to
do so may result in a non-evaluation of your answers.

12. No Candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices.
All the Examination Centres are under surveillance of CCTV and equipped with Jammers. Any
unfair practice including passing of chits will be dealt with punitive stringent action including
debarment in future exams of NTA.

13. The candidate should ensure that the Question Paper available on the computer screen is as per
his/her opted subject/medium indicated in the Admit Card. In case, the subject/medium of the
Question Paper is other than his/her opted subject/medium, the same may be brought to the
notice of the Invigilator concerned.

14. The candidates are advised to carefully read the Subject-Specific Instructions and other
instructions mentioned in the Question paper and abide by the same.

15. If at any stage, it is found that the candidate has submitted multiple applications, his/her
candidature will be cancelled and legal action will be taken including debarring in all future
examinations conducted by NTA.

16. While answering the questions in the question paper, make sure to select the most appropriate,
most suitable, or closest option from the given four choices.

17. Candidates appearing for multiple subjects must carry separate Admit Cards for each subject to
the examination centre.

18. Candidates are advised to keep a copy of their Admit Card for future reference.

19. Candidates are advised to check updates on NTA's website, i.e. www.nta.ac.in,
https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/ regularly. They should also check their mailbox on the
registered E-mail address and SMS in their registered Mobile Number for the latest updates and
information regarding the exam.

General Instructions
Please read the instructions carefully

General Instructions:
1. The total duration of the examination is “Test Time Alloted” minutes.
2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of the
screen will display the remaining time available for you to complete the examination.
When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself. You will not be
required to end or submit your examination.
3. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of the screen will show the status of
each question using one of the following symbols:

The Marked for Review status for a question simply indicates that you would like to look at
that question again.
4. You can click on the ">" arrow which appears to the left of the question palette to
collapse the question palette thereby maximizing the question window. To view the
question palette again, you can click on "< " which appears on the right side of the
question window.
5. You can click on your "Profile" image on the top right corner of your screen to change
the language during the exam for the entire question paper. On clicking on the Profile
image you will get a drop-down to change the question content to the desired
language.

6. You can click on to navigate to the bottom and to navigate to the top of
the question area, without scrolling.

Navigating to a Question:
7. To answer a question, do the following:
a. Click on the question number in the Question Palette at the right of your screen
to go to that numbered question directly. Note that using this option does NOT
save your answer to the current question.
b. Click on Save & Next to save your answer for the current question and then

c. Click on Mark for Review & Next to save your answer for the current
question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.
Answering a Question :
8. Procedure for answering a multiple choice type question:
a. To select your answer, click on the button on one of the options
b. To deselect your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again
or click on the Clear Response button
c. To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option
d. To save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button
e. To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review &
Next button.
9. To change your answer to a question that has already been answered, first select that
question for answering and then follow the procedure for answering that type of
question.
Navigating through sections:
10. Sections in this question paper are displayed on the top bar of the screen. Questions
in a section can be viewed by clicking on the section name. The section you are
currently viewing is highlighted.
11. After clicking the Save & Next button on the last question for a section, you will
automatically be taken to the first question of the next section.
12. You can shuffle between sections and questions anytime during the examination as
per your convenience only during the time stipulated.
13. Candidate can view the corresponding section summary as part of the legend that
appears in every section above the question palette.
Instruction for Question:
14. For the correctness of the translation for a particular language, only the English
version will be considered as the final version for evaluation purposes.

सामान्य अिुर्देश:

1. सभी प्रश्नों कन हल करने के ललए आपकन “Test Time Alloted” लिनट का सिय लिया जाएगा।

2. सर्वर पर घडी लगाई गई है तथा आपकी स्क्रीन के िालहने कनने िें शीर्व पर काउों टडाउन टाइिर िें आपके ललए
परीक्षा सिाप्त करने के ललए शेर् सिय प्रिलशवत हनगा। परीक्षा सिय सिाप्त हनने पर, आपकन अपनी परीक्षा
बोंि या जिा करने की जरूरत नहीों है । यह स्वतः बोंि या जिा हन जाएगी।

3. स्क्रीन के िालहने कनने पर प्रश् पैलेट, प्रत्येक प्रश् के ललए लनम्न िें से कनई एक स्थिलत प्रकट करता है :

पुनलर्वचार के ललए लचलित (Marked for Review) स्थिलत सािान्यतः अनुस्मारक के रूप िें कायव करती है लजसे
आपने प्रश् कन िु बारा िे खने के ललए सेट लकया है ।

4. आप प्रश् पैलेट कन छु पाने के ललए, ">" लचन्ह पर स्थिक कर सकते है , जन प्रश् पैलेट के बाईों ओर लिखाई िे ता है ,
लजससे प्रश् लर्ोंडन सािने आ जाएगा. प्रश् पैलेट कन लिर से िे खने के ललए, " < " लचन्ह पर स्थिक कीलजए जन प्रश्

5. सम्पूर्व प्रश्पत्र की भार्ा कन पररर्लतवत करने के ललए आप कन अपने स्क्रीन के ऊपरी िालहने लसरे पर स्थित
प्रनिाइल इिेज पर स्थिक करना हनगा। प्रनिाइल इिेज कन स्थिक करने पर आपकन प्रश् के अोंतर्वस्तु कन
इस्थित भार्ा िें पररर्लतवत करने के ललए डर ाप-डाउन लिलेगा ।

6. आपकन अपने स्क्रीन के लनचले लहस्से कन स्क्रॉललोंग के लबना नेलर्गेट करने के ललए और ऊपरी लहस्से कन

नेलर्गेट करने के ललए पर स्थिक करना हनगा ।

11. लकसी अनुभाग के ललए अोंलति प्रश् के Save & Next बटन पर स्थिक करने के बाि, आप स्वचाललत रूप से
अगले अनुभाग के प्रथि प्रश् पर पहुों च जाएों गे।

12. आप परीक्षा िें लनधाव ररत सिय के िौरान लकसी भी सिय प्रश्ार्ललयनों और प्रश्नों के बीच अपनी सुलर्धा के
अनुसार आ-जा (शिल कर) सकते हैं ।

13. परीक्षाथी सोंबोंलधत सेक्शन की सिीक्षा कन लीजेन्ड के भाग के रूप िें िे ख सकते हैं ।

Subject Specific Instructions (Read carefully before starting)

ववषय ववविष्ट वनर्देि (िरू
ु र्रने से पहले ध्यान से पढ़ें)
Please read the instructions on the screen carefully before starting the test.
1. Candidate to ensure that the question paper appearing on the computer screen is of the
Question paper code opted by him/her.
2. Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before the completion of the examination.
3. Once candidates, choose to go out of the exam hall, they will not be permitted to re-enter
the exam hall in the same slot and continue.
4. Compensatory time to PwBD candidates with benchmark disabilities of 20 minutes for a
one-hour examination
5. Rough Sheets are to be dropped in the designated drop box while leaving the examination
Hall/Room. Failure to do so may result in non-evaluation or withholding of Results.
6. No Candidate is to adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination
practices. All the Examination Centres are under CCTV surveillance and equipped with
Jammers.
7. The Marking Scheme is as follows:
i. Each question carries 04 (four) marks.
ii. For each correct response, the candidate will get 04 (four) marks.
iii. For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted.
iv. Unanswered/un-attempted responses will be given no marks.
v. To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option which is the most
appropriate option / the most suitable option /the closest option.

Test Specific Instructions:

• The duration of the Test is 90 minutes (1:30 hours).

• This Test contains 75 questions.
• The question papers are bilingual except for Languages, M. Tech Higher Sciences, and Acharya
papers (except Hindu Studies, Baudha Dharshan, and Indian Knowledge System).
• All question papers would test subject-specific knowledge. They would be bilingual in
English/Hindi except exceptions mentioned below.
• All the M. Tech/ Higher Sciences papers will be in English only.
• All the Acharya papers will be in Sanskrit only except Baudha Darshan/Buddhist Studies
ACQP04 and Indian Knowledge System ACQP09 which will be trilingual in
Hindi/Sanskrit/English and Hindu Studies ACQP08 will be bilingual in English/ Hindi.
• Each question has four options. The candidate is required to select and mark the most appropriate
option / the most suitable option /the closest option.
• Please note that for the correctness of the questions in all the question papers except languages,
the English version will be taken as final. However, for Acharya papers Sanskrit version will be
taken as final.
• LAQP01 to LAQP 41 are in the concerned Language only.

कृपया परीक्षा शुरू करने से पहले स्क्रीन पर दिए गए ननिे शों को ध्यानपूर्क
व पढ़ें ।
सामान्य ननिे श:
• अभ्यर्थी सनु िश्चित करें कक कंप्यूटर स्क्रीि पर दर्दख रहा प्रचि पत्र उसी कोड का है श्िसे उन्होंिे
िुिा है ।
• अभ्यर्थी परीक्षा समाप्त होिे से पहले परीक्षा हॉल िहीं छोड़ सकते।
• यदर्द कोई अभ्यर्थी परीक्षा हॉल से बाहर िाता है , तो उसे उसी स्क्लॉट में पुिः प्रिेि करिे और परीक्षा
िारी रखिे की अिम
ु नत िहीं र्दी िाएगी।
• दर्दवयांग (PwBD) अभ्यर्र्थियों को, यदर्द उिकी विकलांगता मािक के अिुसार है , तो एक घंटे की परीक्षा
के शलए 20 शमिट का अनतररक्त समय दर्दया िाएगा।
• परीक्षा हॉल/कक्ष से बाहर निकलते समय, रफ िीट्स (Rough Sheets) निदर्दि ष्ट ड्रॉप बॉक्स में डालिा
अनििायि है । ऐसा ि करिे पर उत्तर पुश्स्क्तका का मूलयांकि ि ककया िा सकता है या पररणाम रोक
दर्दया िा सकता है ।
• ककसी भी अभ्यर्थी को अिर्ु ित साधिों का उपयोग करिे या अिर्ु ित परीक्षा पद्धनत अपिािे की
अिुमनत िहीं है । सभी परीक्षा केंद्र सीसीटीिी निगरािी में हैं और िैमर से लैस हैं।

अंकन योजना:
• प्रत्येक प्रचि के 04 (िार) अंक हैं।
• प्रत्येक सही उत्तर के शलए 04 (िार) अंक दर्दए िाएंगे।
• प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर के शलए 01 (एक) अंक काट शलया िाएगा।
• बबिा उत्तर दर्दए गए प्रचिों को कोई अंक िहीं दर्दया िाएगा।

परीक्षा वर्शेष ननिे श:

• परीक्षा की अिर्ध 90 शमिट (1 घंटा 30 शमिट) होगी।
• इस परीक्षा में कुल 75 प्रचि होंगे।
• प्रचि पत्र द्विभाषी (अंग्रेजी/दहंर्दी) होंगे, केिल निम्िशलखखत को छोड़कर:
o भाषाओं के प्रचि पत्र
o एम. टे क (Higher Sciences) के प्रचि पत्र
o आिायि के प्रचि पत्र (दहंर्द ू अध्ययि, बौद्ध र्दििि और भारतीय ज्ञाि प्रणाली को छोड़कर)
• सभी प्रचि पत्र विषय-वििेष ज्ञाि की परीक्षा लेंगे।
• एम. टे क/हायर साइंसेज़ के सभी प्रश्न पत्र केर्ल अंग्रेज़ी म़ें होंगे।
• आचायव के सभी प्रश्न पत्र केर्ल संस्क्कृत म़ें होंगे,
o ककन्तु बौद्ध िशवन (ACQP04), भारतीय ज्ञान प्रणाली (ACQP09) के प्रश्न पत्र त्रत्रभाषी
(दहंिी/संस्क्कृत/अंग्रज़
े ी) होंगे।
o दहंि ू अध्ययन (ACQP08) के प्रश्न पत्र द्वर्भाषी (अंग्रज़
े ी/दहंिी) होंगे।
