● This assignment is an Individual report and specifically.


● You must use font Times New Roman size 12, line spacing at 1.5. Margins must be left: 1 inch; right: 1
inch; top: 1 inch and bottom: 1 inch.
● You should use in text references and a list of all cited sources at the end of the essay by applying Harvard
referencing style.
● The recommended word limit is 2500-3000 words (+/-10%), excluding the tables, graphs, diagrams,
appendixes, and references. You will not be penalized for exceeding the total word limit.
● The cover page of the report must be the Assignment front sheet 1 (to be attached with this assignment
brief).

Submission:

● Students are compulsory to submit the assignment in due date and in a way requested by the Tutor.
● The form of submission will be a soft copy posted on http://cms.btec.edu.vn/.
● Remember to convert the word file into PDF file before the submission on CMS.

Note:

● The individual Assignment must be your own work, and not copied by or from another student.
● If you use ideas, quotes, or data (such as diagrams) from books, journals or other sources, you must
reference your sources, using the Harvard style.
Make sure that you understand and follow the guidelines to avoid plagiarism. Failure to comply this

Vocational scenario
Students are to choose their own research topic (as per Pearson-set theme) for this unit. Strong research
projects are those with clear, well focused and defined objectives. A central skill in selecting a research
objective is the ability to select a suitable and focused research objective. One of the best ways to do this is to
put it in the form of a question. Students should be encouraged by tutors to discuss a variety of topics related to
the theme to generate ideas for a good research objective.

Assignment activity and guidance

Structure of Proposal

Introduction

● Provide sufficient contextual background information regarding the research topic.


● Present a brief review of existing literature related to the research.
● Identify gaps between previous research and the current study you aim to address.
● Propose the research question, ensuring it aligns with the research objectives.
● Explain the practical and theoretical significance of the research.

Literature Review

● Review the definitions of all relevant research constructs, carefully considering how they relate to your
research questions.
● Explain the relationships between these constructs, using supporting evidence from the literature.

Planned Research Methodology

● Examine and identify the appropriate research methodologies (research philosophy, approach to theory
development, design, and strategy) for the current study.
● Explore alternative methods and tools used for the collection of research data that consider costs, ethics
and access. Describe your planned participants (e.g., age, organizational position, sector, etc.) and your
planned sampling method. Outline how you plan to collect your data.
● Evaluate alternative research methodologies and data collection methods, justifying choices made based on
philosophical/theoretical frameworks.
● Evaluate the merits, limitations, and potential pitfalls of your chosen data collection approaches.
● Address ethical concerns (ensuring compliance with the Research Ethics Form and Participant Consent
Form) related to data collection methods.
● Justify your chosen research methodologies and processes, supported by a credible, academically

Time Scale

● Use a Gantt Chart to produce a schedule (set up by your tutor) for your research project, including time
