1. Complete the conversation with first and second conditional

A: Would you go on one of those spacce tourism flights?


B: No! I would be terrified. I wouldn’t go if you paid me!
A: I think it sounds great. If the tickets weren’t so expesive, I would love
to do that.
B: They will probably get cheaper in the future
A: Yes. Ok, if the price drop far enough, I Will buy us two tickets.
B: Far enough for you to afford? That will never happen!

2. Complete the sentences by adding a relative pronoun in the correct


place. If the relative pronoun is optional put bracket around it. If there
is more than one option, write both using a slash/

a) The nurses who looked after me were very profesional.


b) The operation which/that I had was quite a simple procedure
c) The injection which/that the nurse gave me didn’t hurt much.
d) The nearest chemist’s where opens late is in the town center
e) The doctor who works in our local surgey is great.
f) The ankie which/that I broke last year still hurts

3. Rewrite the pairs as one sentence using a relative pronoun begining


with wh. Put Brackets() around any optional pronoun.

a) That’s the patient whom(who) I read about.


b) This is a new kidney which was grown in a laboraty
c) Athletics is one of the Paralympic sport which most people have
seen.
d) I talked to the surgeon who operated on me.
e) That’s the hospital where she operated on me.
f) It was midday when I came out of hospital.
