2022 Year 7MA_11 Maths

STUDENT / PARENT INFORMATION

ONENOTE:

Students are to get program, classroom explanations/ worked examples / instructions from OneNote. A
screenshot of our Maths Notebook as follow:

MATHSPACE:
- Homework tasks are set on Mathspace every MON.
- Full working out must be shown on a line book and hand it in EVERY MON during Maths session.
- Reminder will be sent home if homework wasn’t completed.

EACH LESSON :

Please ensure that you are equipped for every lesson.


e.g. Charged laptop, 2 line books, Calculators and eBook.
(Computer problems can be dealt with by the technicians at school in room B11a during
recess and lunch times.)

STUDY: - Try to set aside regular time for study every night (Suggesting ½ hr to 45 mins)

- read the program to check what topics are going to be covered

- read topics in the textbook ahead of time, take brief notes, and do some of the questions

- review at home the work covered in class.

- students can access www.mathspace.co and use this for revision questions

DIARY: Check their diary to see if homework is being recorded and completed.

WORKBOOK / FILE:

1. Check their workbook to see if work is completed as follows:

2. Headings: The work should have headings (e.g. Date, topic, reference to textbook page and
exercise being done.)

3. Do the work: The work should be done showing all working required to reach a solution.

4. Mark the work: The work should be marked either from the answers at the back of the
textbook or from the answers provided to the handouts.

Correct the work: They should try correcting the work themselves.

Ask: If they cannot correct or complete the work they should ask.

RECESS / LUNCH HELP: Is available in Maths classroom almost everyday. Teacher needs to be
notified beforehand.

MATHS HOMEWORK CLASS: TBA

1. Check “connect” for information such as: Program, assessment dates, assessment results
and homework completion marks.
(If you cannot access connect go to the school website and find the “connect” link at the
very bottom of the homepage and follow the process.)
2. Look at the program to check the work and assessments that are scheduled.

3. Check the ‘content’ section, then click on the button to show any hidden sections.
We will often add extra materials and worksheets here.
