EXTENSION OF TIME
I, Alh. Badamasi Abubakar, Male, Muslim, Nigeria citizen, Businessman, of
……………………………………………………., Plateau State do hereby make
oath and state as follows:
1. That I am the applicant in this case and by virtue of this I am conversant with
the facts and circumstances of this case.
2. That all facts contained in the affidavit in support of the application deposed to
by Uthman Zuwa, a litigation officer in the office of my counsel, A. M. Zuwa
Esq, are true.
3. That I am now ready and desirous of appealing against the judgment of the trial
court and pursue same to the logical conclusion.
4. That the delay in filing was not intentional rather it was occasioned from
inability of A. M. Zuwa Esq., to reach me while I was in holy land, Makkah to
perform the hajj rite.
5. That I left Nigeria for Makkah to perform hajj on the...day of ….. 2024 and it
was pendency of this trip that the judgment of the trial court was delivered.
6. That the said trip to hajj was the cause of my counsel inability to reach me and
hindrance to inform me of the judgment delivered on 12th of July, 2024. A copy
of his evidence of my traveling to Makkah in 2024 for hajj is hereby attached
and marked as exhibit C.
7. That the interest of Justice will be better if the Application is granted.
8. That I depose to this affidavit in good faith, conscientiously believing same to
be true and in accordance with the Oath Act.
