The Researchers
ABSTRACT

The research study conducted among STEM and ABM 11 students aimed

to gauge the level of awareness regarding e-wallet usage in app purchases and

revealed a moderate level of awareness among the respondents. This finding

underscored the importance of addressing gaps in knowledge and awareness,

particularly in the realm of digital transactions, where security and precautionary

measures were paramount.

Recognizing the significance of this issue, the researchers came up with a

plan to implement an orientation program aimed at enhancing users' awareness

and knowledge in the domain of digital transactions. The orientation program

seeks to equip students with the necessary skills and understanding to navigate

e-wallet usage safely and securely. Through interactive sessions, informative

materials, and practical demonstrations, participants gained insights into the

potential risks associated with digital transactions and learned best practices for

safeguarding their financial information. Emphasis is placed on cultivating a

heightened sense of awareness, alertness, and security among users,

empowering them to make informed decisions when engaging in e-wallet

transactions.

By bridging the gap between existing knowledge and the requirements for

safe digital transactions, the orientation program aims to empower STEM and

ABM 11 students with the confidence and competence to navigate the digital

landscape responsibly. Through proactive education and awareness-building

initiatives, the program also intends to encourage a culture of digital literacy and

security, ensuring that students were well-prepared to engage with e-wallets and
other digital payment methods in a safe and informed manner. Ultimately, the

orientation program will serve as a proactive step towards enhancing the digital

resilience of students and promoting responsible digital citizenship.
