I. Project Title:

Solar School Power: DIY Renewable Energy Project

II. Project Proponent:

InnovateX in partnership with the local government units, local businesses,

and volunteer electricians.

III. Project Rationale:

Many rural schools experience frequent power interruptions, affecting learning

and school activities. This project empowers students by teaching them how
to assemble and maintain solar-powered systems, providing affordable
and sustainable energy for their classrooms and school facilities.

Primary Sources:

 Interviews with school administrators, teachers, and students on power

supply issues.
 Data from local electric cooperatives on power outages and energy
consumption.
 Hands-on training sessions with local electricians and renewable
energy experts.

Secondary Sources:

 Research Studies on the Impact of Solar Energy in Rural Schools

Smith and Lee (2022) found that solar energy improves learning in
rural schools by providing reliable electricity, reducing costs, and
supporting digital education. Schools using solar power experience
fewer disruptions and better student engagement, making it a
sustainable solution for energy-poor areas.

 Government Reports on Renewable Energy Policies and

Electrification Programs

The Department of Education (2022) highlights solar electrification as a

key solution for public schools facing power shortages. It enables
digital learning, reduces costs, and supports sustainability, ensuring
continuous education in off-grid communities.

 Online Resources and Manuals on DIY Solar Panel Installation

Solar Energy International (2023) provides a step-by-step guide on

installing and maintaining solar panels. It simplifies solar technology for
beginners, helping schools and communities adopt affordable and
sustainable energy solutions.
IV. Project Objectives:
1. Teach students practical skills in assembling and installing small solar
panels.
2. Provide affordable and reliable electricity for classrooms and school
facilities.
3. Install solar-powered lights for safety and convenience.
4. Set up solar charging stations for students' gadgets and school
devices.
5. Promote renewable energy awareness through hands-on learning.

V. Project Description:

Students will receive training from local electricians and teachers on solar
energy basics and how to install small-scale solar-powered charging stations
and LED lighting. A DIY guidebook will be developed to help students share
their knowledge with their families and the community.

High School"

Pagbasa at Pagsusuri ng Iba’t ibang
Teksto tungo sa Pananaliksik
I. Panimula

Ayon sa Philippine Food and Drug

III. Mga Layunin ng Pag-aaral

Ang pag-aaral na ito ay naglalayong:

kalusugan at akademikong pagganap.
