According to this article, M piperata or most commonly known as peppermint works as a


mosquito repellent as well, the article also provides ways on how to effectively use mint
or peppermint in repelling mosquito such as, planting the said plant, mint users also
stated that it is easier to apply by the means of using a spray, however, mint is best
applied when it is by essential oil as mint oil carries an even concentrated smell that
several studies say that it is strong enough to make mosquitoes go nose blind. Mint is
another great natural alternative for repelling mosquitoes, it can be also one of the useful
natural mosquito repellents that is better to try out with children, this is due to the fact
that mint plants have a typically calming aroma that isn't as strong or overpowering as
other natural alternatives, However, not every member of the mentha family is suitable
for use as a repellent.

chemicals found from plants have been used as a way to control insects throughout history, it
