alternative for synthetic repellents. The article highlights the plant lavender does not just
have an alluring scent but also has mosquito repelling properties, but according to the
article it can also cause some irritation to certain individuals's skin.
This article talks about citronella being an effective mosquito repellent, it also offers
ways on how to use citronella effectively, the most efficient method is to apply it directly
to the skin using lotion or cream. The article states that citronella is very effective when
it comes to repelling in many ways, one being that citronella has a compound which
masks the scent that attracts mosquitoes. The article highlights citronella as an effective
mosquito repellent, however, it is also stated that citronella can evaporate relatively
quickly which tends to lessen the effectiveness of the plant to repel mosquitoes, and that
citronella can be toxic or harmful to pets so it is advised that the citronella plant is put on
a plant or plant pot so that pets are not directly exposed to it.
