Passage 1

A Visit to the Park

Last Saturday, my family and I went to a beautiful park near our house. The sun was shining
brightly, and the sky was clear. We decided to have a picnic under a large tree. The park was
peaceful, with only a few people walking or riding bikes. My little brother, Sam, ran around
excitedly, while I sat with my parents and enjoyed the fresh air.
After a while, we played a game of soccer. My dad was the goalkeeper, and I was the striker.
The ball flew across the field, and I kicked it hard, scoring a goal. Everyone cheered! Later, we
