Objectives
Design and build a device that uses an Arduino to monitor noise levels in a room.
Program the Arduino to trigger an audible alert when the noise level exceeds a
predetermined limit
The device should produce a distinct and audible alert sound when the noise level is too
high.
The constant noise makes it incredibly difficult for students to focus on their work, leading
to decreased attention spans and difficulty processing information.
Difficulty for teachers to communicate effectively, Due to the loud sounds produced by
talking, slamming, or moving of furniture. Teachers can have a hard time engaging with
their students.
High noise levels can contribute to disruptive behavior among students. When they are
constantly distracted and unable to focus, they are more likely to act out or become
disengaged.
Prolonged exposure to high noise levels can lead to hearing problems and other health issues,
particularly for young children who are still developing their auditory systems.

According to Marín-Marín, García-Tudela, and Duo-Terrón (2024), the Arduino board is considered a
valuable technological educational resource in secondary education, fostering computational thinking and
enabling the development of transversal, interdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary projects across various
educational stages.
