Task 3. Document analysis ePortfolio task rubric and evaluation criteria
For this third task, you are required to critically analyse 4 academic articles on the design and implementation of teaching
strategies, resources, and/or teaching materials for use in the FL classroom. At least one article should address a seminal aspect in
the field of FL teaching strategies, and at least one article should specifically focus on innovative teaching strategies, resources,
and/or teaching materials. By ‘innovative’ we mean a teaching strategy, resource, or teaching material that features new
methods or is advanced and original. All articles should be peer-reviewed.
Task submission deadline: The task should be uploaded to the online UdC Campus module by 31st March 2025 23:59hrs
An analysis of each article will consist of two pages in Times New Roman font 12 and double spacing and should include the
following 3 sections:
The task should be presented as an e-Portfolio (e.g., pdf. or canva https://www.canva.com/templates/s/portfolio/) and should
include a final section with your reflections (i.e., 500 words) on the process of completing the task. This section should appear
after your analysis of the 4 articles, with the heading ‘Final Reflections’, within which you should reflect on the process of selecting
the articles, reading and analysing the articles, and writing about them in a critical manner. In this section, you should reflect on
what you found the most challenging, the most useful, and what/how you will/can apply this knowledge in the future.
The evaluation criteria on the following page (page 2) includes a detailed breakdown of the aspects of your document analysis
e-Portfolio that will be assessed for this task.
