“EXERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF SANTO ROSARIO, INABANGA,
BOHOL HELDO ON 20TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2024 AT SANTO ROSARIO SESSION HALL, SANTO. ROSARIO, INABANGA,
BOHOL”
Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Barangay of Santo Rosario, Inabanga, Bohol in regular session duly
assembled, that;
SECTION 1. TITLE – This ordinance shall be known as “The Backyard/ Containerized Gardening Ordinance of 2024”.
SECTION 2. DEFINITION OF TERMS – as used in this Ordinance, the following terms shall mean:
a. Backyard Gardening – refers to a home-farming by applying some scientific or purposeful approach to growing
food by planting them in the ground.
b. Containerized or Pot Gardening – refers to the practice of growing plants including edible plants exclusively in
container or pot instead of planting them in the ground.
c. Barangay Clearance – refers to a government-issued document and is a requirement for local employment travel
abroad, National Police Clearance, NBI Clearance, Loan Application, scholarship application and other legal
purposes
A minimum of ten (10) containerized/ pot per household is required under this Ordinance
SECTION 4. ENFORCEMENT – This Ordinance shall be primarily implemented by the Barangay Officials, Barangay
Nutrition Scholar together with the Barangay Health Workers and other persons deputized by the Punong Barangay by
conducting inspection for purposes of gathering data of households establishing backyard /containerized gardening
during reasonable time and day.
The Barangay Nutrition Scholar together with the Barangay Health Workers shall submit a monthly report to the
Barangay Secretary of the list of households practicing Backyard/containerized gardening and those households that
failed to establish the said gardening as defined herein.
SECTION 5. REPORTING PURPOSES. The Barangay Secretary must maintain a record of the list of households practicing
Backyard/containerized gardening and those that failed to establish the same.
SECTION 6. NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIRED BACKYARD/CONTAINERIZED – if or any reason, any provision,
section or any part of this ordinance is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction or suspended or revoked by
the Sangguniang Bayan, such judgement shall not affect or impair the remaining provisions, sections or parts hereof
which shall remain continue to be in full force and effect.
SECTION 7. INFORMATION EDUCATION CAMPAIGN (IEC). The Barangay Kagawad on Agriculture with the help of the
Municipal Agriculture Office shall conduct information Campaign (IEC) and other necessary activities and support for the
proper implementation of this ordinance.
SECTION 9. REPEALING CLAUSE. Any provision/s of an ordinance, rules and regulations and/ or any part/s thereof
inconsistent with the provision/s of this ordinance are hereby repealed and/or modified accordingly.
SECTION 10. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If any provision or part thereof is held invalid or unconstitutional, the other parts of
this ordinance not otherwise affected shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 11. EFFECTIVITY CLAUSE. This ordinance shall take effect upon declaration of validity by the Sangguniang
Bayan pursuant to Section 57a, or upon the lapse of the prescribed 30-day period pursuant to Section 57b, provided its
copies are posted for at least 3 weeks at the barangay hall and 2 other public places of the barangay pursuant to
Sections 311a, and 59a of RA 7160.
We hereby certify to the correctness of the foregoing ordinance which was duly adopted by the Sangguniang
Barangay during its 2nd regular session on January 20, 2024 .

“AN ORDINANCE CREATING BARANGAY TB TASK FORCE TO CONSOLIDATE AND UNIFY EFFORTS TOWARDS A
COMMUNITY WHERE TUBERCULOSIS (TB) IS NO LONGER A PUBLIC HEALTH PROBLEM”.
BE IT ENACTED by the SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY in session assembled that:
Barangay Santo Rosario joins the Government efforts to institute an effective program for Tuberculosis Control
through the National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP). The Directly Observed Treatment Short Course (DOTS)
strategy of the NTP shall be the main strategy for Tuberculosis control in the Barangay. The five (5) component of the
DOTS strategy include: 1. Direct Sputum Smear Examination shall be the initial diagnostic tool in case finding. 2.
Standardized Chemotherapy in accordance with the National TB Program. 3. Recording and reporting of cases shall be
on the standardized National TB Program forms to be implemented in all health centers 4. Directly Observed Treatment
(DOT) shall be used as the strategy to ensure patient compliance. 5. Political commitment to ensure sustained,
comprehensive implementation of National TB Program activities. The Executive Order 187 is about the Comprehensive
and Unified Policy on TB o CUP which serve as a guide in managing TB programs in the province, municipality and
barangay.
As a vehicle for consolidation and unification of efforts on TB, the Barangay hereby creates the Barangay TB Task Force
who will lead and supervise all the activities in the implementation of the Barangay TB Program. The Task Force will be
responsible in case finding and case holding which will be composed of the following:
The following are the roles, functions and responsibilities of the Brgy. TB Task Force:
1. Identify and establish the roles and responsibilities of the partners in the organization and delivery of TB
care as per NTP guidelines;
2. Coordinate the different sectors involved in the NTP implementation and ensure that the NTP policies
and the DOTS strategy is implemented;
3. Source additional support (financial or materials) for the continuous implementation of the Barangay TB
Program; and
4. Assist in all the activities of the RHU and the Barangay Health Station towards efficient and effective
implementation of the Barangay TB Program.
Section 4: Support from the Barangay
To effectively implement the roles and responsibilities of the Barangay TB Task Force, the following are the
support and assistance to be provided by the Barangay:
a. Use of the Barangay Building and vehicle for Barangay TB Task Force; and
b. Provide transportation allowance of TB Task Force members in supervising patients and give information
about TB.
Section 5: Effectivity
ENACTED during the 2nd Regular Session of the Sangguniang Barangay, this 20th day of January 2024, at Barangay Santo
Rosario, Inabanga, Bohol.
