B1 Agony Aunt EML001

You are the Agony Aunt who gives advice to problems young people have. Read Brian's email and
write back giving advice on what he should do.

Last year my mum and dad divorced, and now she's seeing another man.
Whenever he's at our house they don't take notice of me at all. Sometimes I
get the feeling that mum doesn't care about me anymore.

When we all go for a walk together, they always walk in front with their arms
around each other and never look back to me.

I feel so alone and left out. What can I do?

yo no pondría ''hi'', la aunt (la tía) es adulta por lo que no es un amigo. Pondría algo como: ''Dear Brian,''
Hi Brian, Room for corrections

no pondría ''How are things going?'''

Thanks a lot for writing back - it was great to hear from you. How porque ya te ha contado que las
cosas van MAL y te está pidiendo
are things going? ayuda, consejos. Entonces le
podnría algo como: ''I KNOW YOU
ARE NOT HAVING A GOOD TIME
First of all, I'm really sorry you're feeling this way but your mum is AT HOME IN THIS MOMENT AND I
HOPE I CAN HELP YOU''
adjusting to her new relationship, but that doesn’t mean she
doesn’t care about you. She might not realize how it’s affecting
you.
-MY ADVICE IS THAT YOU
SHOULD TALK TO HER ABOUT
Secondly, my advice is to talk to her about who you feel, without YOUR FEELINGS
blaming her. You could suggest doing something just the two of
you to reconnect, and when her new partner is on home, maybe ''AT HOME'', SIEMPRE PREP ''AT''
suggest watching a movie together. It could be a good way to CON HOME

spend time as a family. FALTA EL SUJETO CON EL VERBO

SUGGEST:
---maybe, you should suggest...
Remember your feelings matter, and I’m sure things will get better
with time.

Take care,
Agony Aunt
