What is Disaster Management?
The term "disaster management" describes the actions done to
safeguard and protect people, homes, and other property from
either natural or man-made disasters. This entails preparing
for disasters, combating them successfully, assuring the
protection of people during disasters, and aiding in the
reconstruction of society after a catastrophe.
The requirement to be ready for a variety of situations is one
of the largest obstacles in disaster or emergency management.
Thinking about what constitutes a disaster is an excellent
place to start when discussing disaster management.
Causes of Man-Made Disasters
Unlike natural catastrophes brought on by natural
risks, human-caused disasters involve human intention,
neglect, or error involving the failure of a man-made
system. Crime, arson, civil unrest, terrorism, war,
biological/chemical danger, cyberattacks, etc. are
examples of man-made disasters.

Disasters that are caused by humans occur when

technology and industry are used carelessly or
incorrectly. Accidents that happen out of the blue and
cause severe damage to both property and human life
are what constitute catastrophes. The majority of the
time, these catastrophes result in casualties, illnesses,
and injuries.
Impact of Man-Made Disasters
Human-made disasters severely affect a society's economics, agricultural, and
health-care sectors, often having long-lasting repercussions that keep
underdevelopment alive.

“People are trying to decide whether the

man-made disaster is worse than Mother
Nature’s disaster. “
