INTRODUCTION
‘Fruits for fashion’ - intriguing, isn’t it? Who says fruits
are just for the table? Welcome to Terraria, where we’re
rewriting the rules of style and sustainability. We take
discarded fruit pulp and give it a second life,
transforming it into stylish, cruelty-free products that
merge sustainability with flair. Here, we believe waste is
just untapped potential. So, our mission? It is to give
these discarded fruit wastes a glow-up by transforming
them into valuable and innovative products that aren’t
just cherished but also a plus one for Mother Nature!
Driven by a passion for sustainability, we offer an
alternative to traditional leather while minimizing
environmental footprint.

PESTEL ANALYSIS
Political:
The current uncertain political state of
Bangladesh brings rise to market
instability which can be attributed to the
recent events and ongoing turmoil. We
have seen higher rates of inflation
reflected in increased prices of fruits
and vegetables which are discarded as
pulp. This can hinder profitability as pulp
is the raw material sourced for our
manufacturing process.
PESTEL ANALYSIS
Economic:
A growing economy or economic boom
leads to consumers possessing more
disposable income increasing the
consumers’ purchasing powers thereby
driving demand for our products.
However, frequent fluctuations in
exchange rates would result in ever-
changing prices of raw materials hindering
profitability and increasing market
uncertainty.
PESTEL ANALYSIS
Social:
As more people are informed and aware
of environmental causes, more demand
will be driven for eco-friendly products.
This means higher sales in the long run
which will extend our margins of profit.
However, certain groups of demographics
may still be uneducated regarding the
importance of environment conservation
and may prefer traditional leather over
vegan leather. Such groups will be harder
to persuade and attract, thus lowering
our potential sales.
PESTEL ANALYSIS
Technological:
As technology advances, the usage of
modern machinery will increase the quality
of products as well as increase efficiency.
There will be Increased research about
vegan leather materials such as those
derived from plants, fungi, and recycled
materials. However, problems may arise
such as high startup cost of machinery, lack
of trained staff to use the machinery, and
maintenance of the machinery would be also
expensive.
PESTEL ANALYSIS
Environmental:
The company needs to assess the environmental impact of
raw material sourcing, production processes, and product
disposal. Seasonal change can impact the availability and
cost of raw materials, influencing the production process.

Legal:
The company needs to ensure that the vegan leather products
meet all relevant safety standards and regulations regarding
chemicals, flammability and durability. The company also
needs to adhere to environmental regulations related to waste
disposal, emissions and water usage throughout the
production process. Furthermore, the company needs to
attain Vegan Certification.
SWOT ANALYSIS

Strengths:
Raw materials are inexpensive to source. This
means lower production costs and more
room for profit. Following this, we can also
implement a cost focus strategy since we can
charge lower prices than competitor firms
and still make profits. Eco-friendly products
will help the company gain a positive
reputation among customers and help to
increase sales in future.
SWOT ANALYSIS
Weaknesses:
Seasonal changes in Bangladesh may affect the
supply of raw materials. For example, since our
brand uses pineapple pulp as one of the raw
materials, complications may arise regarding the
sourcing of pineapple pulp due to it being a
seasonal fruit in Bangladesh. Trying to source pulps
of off season fruits will increase costs of production
and lower profits. Given that “Conservation of the
Environment” is a relatively new notion, the older
demographic is somewhat uninformed, thus it will
be difficult to persuade some groups of customers
due to lack of awareness.
SWOT ANALYSIS
Opportunities:
Vegan leather carries a great potential to tap into
the fashion industry and niche market. We can
provide customers more customization options
and enrich our branding to make vegan leather
clothing a separate commodity by itself.
Following that, as more people are being
informed and educated regarding environmental
concerns, our eco-friendly brand will be well
received and attract more customers in the long
run. Thus, it will increase our sales and total
profit.
SWOT ANALYSIS

Threats:
Securing a consistent and reliable supply of
raw materials for plant based vegan leathers
can be difficult. Following that, other artificial
leather products such as PU leather might be a
cheaper alternative for customers. Consumer
perception may fail to change as people may
still believe that vegan leather is inferior to
traditional leather.
ETHICAL Ethical Concerns:
CONCERNS & Based on our company structure and manufacturing
process, our corporation is likely to face a couple of ethical

CSR concerns such as local farmers could be underpaid and

below minimum wage.

The high costs of goods could exclude certain segments of

the market population due to their purchasing class and
power. High costs of products may mean that a segment of
the population may not be able to afford these sustainable
products.

Workers may not be paid the fair wage or get a safe working
environment, which is their right. Implementing job quotas
for marginalized groups such as women can lead to
sometimes men feeling excluded. Furthermore, extraction of
algae will affect the aquatic ecosystem, and sometimes the
energy consumed during greening can lead to energy
inefficiency and contribute to carbon emissions.

CORPORATE SOCIAL
PERFORMANCE

Partner with local farmers and ensure fair compensation.

Ensure a safe working environment for the workers and make sure that workers are
being paid the fair wage.
There should be inclusive hiring practices in the company so that men do not feel left
out and there are equal job opportunities for all individuals.
Limit over-harvesting of algae as this will have an adverse effect on the ecosystem.
Minimizing pollution by using energy wisely, especially during the greening process.
Offer a range of cost-effective diverse products so everyone can afford these products
because pricing that only caters to the affluent consumer is a threat to the company's
ethical stance by excluding low-income individuals.
CORPORATE SOCIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Philanthropy:
Our company is committed to giving back to the community through various philanthropic initiatives.
These include donating a portion of our profits to environmental organizations, supporting local
animal shelters, and providing vegan leather products to homeless shelters and orphanages. This
way, we can align our business with social responsibility to successfully make a positive impact
beyond our core operations and contribute to a more sustainable and compassionate society.

Our company aims to solidify its commitment to social responsibility through various initiatives. We
will include seminars on sustainable practices to encourage green production, run awareness
campaigns to educate consumers about the environmental and ethical benefits of vegan leather,
collaborate with organizations to promote animal rights and actively work to reduce our own
environmental impact.
CORPORATE SOCIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Responsibility:
We aim to charge reasonable prices and not overplay the green or socially friendly notion to make sure we do
not exploit this cause. We also need to be ethical regarding our business operations and ensure trust and
reliance between our company and stakeholders. Furthermore, meeting moral objectives of the stakeholders
while performing efficiently is a core priority of our company. Practising fair marketing and selling practices
such as meeting customer expectations derived from advertisements and ensuring products deliver
accordingly.

process to finally produce cruelty free products that meet quality standards. Additionally, we aim to
practice transparency regarding supply chain management and enforce labour compliance laws
that promote a healthy working environment. Finally, we will have a common vision practiced
among the employees which will encourage unity and enforce our code of ethics.
