COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1. To model and analyze the open loop and the closed loop control systems.
2. To investigate the time response of unity feedback control systems with and without P, PI and PID
controllers.
3. To assess and analyze the stability of the control system.
4. To model and examine the dynamic control systems in state space
COURSE OUTCOMES:
After successful completion of the course, the students are able to
1. Understand mathematical models of linear discrete-time control systems using transfer functions and
state-spacemodels.
2. Analyze the transient and steady state responses of unity feedback control systems with and without
P, PI and PID controllers.
3. Assess the stability of control systems through Routh Hurwitz criterion and various plots like Root
Locus plot, Bode plot, Polar plot, and Nyquist plot.
4. Model and analyze the dynamic control systems in state space.
