This unit provides the opportunity for the student to reflect on their learning to
date as they explore and apply theories and techniques to achieve the objectives
Module set out in their Final Major Project proposal. Students are encouraged to

Product Development of Outfit 01
Product initiation stage is going to start here for the first outfit selected from
LO-1
the range while the pattern and garment technology knowledge is used. The

Product Development of Outfit 01
The first outfit selected from the range is further critiqued and developed

The second outfit selected from the range is initiated while the first outfit is

Toile Critique (Outfit one and two)

Individual tutorial to inquire the concerns and issues for further action of each

individual pieces of outfits. The comments mainly the pattern construction,
LO-3
sewing, proportions, material selection, colour appropriateness, and balance
LO-4
are considered. Encouraging constructive feedback and reflective learning are
essential in this stage.
Outfit 3 can be started in this stage while Outfit 01/02 are finalized.
Section 9 [1 Week]
Product Development of Outfit 03/04
The third outfit selected from the range is initiated in this stage while the
patterns and garment technology knowledge is used. The toile of individual LO-1
garment of selected Outfit 03 needs to be developed in calico or relevant LO-2
material with appropriate flat pattern cutting/draping/knitting/engineered LO-3
weaving or any other appropriate craftsmanship. LO-4
Pattern and garment technology knowledge are essential to develop from 2D
to 3D idea generation in this stage to make technical inquiry of outfits.
Parallelly Outfit 04 can be initiated.

Section 10 [1 Week]
Product Development of Outfit 03/04
The fourth outfit selected from the range is developed while the third outfit is

also critiqued and being finished. The patterns and garment technology
