TASK 1

The maps below show the changes in the art gallery ground floor in 2005 and the present day.

The maps indicate the changes of an art gallery from 2005 until the present day. Overall, there is a subtle
distinction between the 2005 art gallery and the present one. Aside from the opened up of the children's
area and the replacement of the gallery office to be a part of the café and shop, whereas other rooms
remain unchanged.

In 2005 there were 3 exhibition rooms located along the right of the entrance hall and the reception
desk next to the stairs to upper floor. There was a large exhibition room which was located on the left of
the entrance hall right in front of the gallery office. The café and shop was placed a very behind of the
corner of the building.

As for the gallery in the present half of the large exhibition room was demolished and replaced with
children’s area and the temporary exhibitions. Moreover, the gallery office was converted into vending
machines food and coffee, right next to the café and ship was the stair now being made smaller to add
the lift. Finally the 3 exhibition rooms were remain the same except for the reception desk was being
moved to the central of gallery.
