Production Process
Production Process refers to the process and the stages in the marketing of a media
product.
There are three key stages in production process they are :
● Pre-production-.Pre production is the planning stage in the production process
● Production-the production is to producing the products or materials
● Post production-the post production is about the editing and the construction.

There are few thing to produce a magazine which is:

Adobe Photoshop is a photo editing and graphic design software
program. It is used for creating, editing, and retouching images etc.
Adobe Photoshop is usually used by photographers and web
developers.Adobe photoshop is needed for magazine production
because it have strong feature to make the magazine photo look
more beautiful or more clear,they have feature like change the background,make
object disappear, Refine blurry objects and edges,Blur areas in an image etc.Those
features helps photographer will edit and create stuff in the image.
They have two type of subscription,monthly and annual subscription and annual
billed upfront

Desktop publishing software is used to create documents,marketing materials.There
are few software that can be used for the magazine, for example Quark.Quark is a
desktop publishing software,uark is used for page layouts, graphic design &
illustrations, photo editing, and digital publishing etc,this software are usually used
for photographer, designers, publishers.This software can help the design in the
magazine and it can easily placed the article whenever the designers want to.
It have two plan for the audience to choose, such as :

Magazine Production Process
Pre-Production - content
In the content stage of pre-production, this stage is about the editorial team to plan
or share ideas, plan what content they are going to create,make decisions of how
the magazine is going to look like, this stage is essential because this stage is
where the decisions were made by the team and necessary research of the
material.

Pre Production - Flat Planning
In the flat planning of Pre-production, this stage is about how the editorial team
creates a flat plan, a flat plan is a page-by-page layout,it helps to construct the
order. The flat plan helps to plan the length of the article, how long or how many
pages are going to be structured in the content, understanding of the expectation
of the content and also identifying what images are needed.

Production
Production is the stage where the writer team plan the article, conduct research,
article written,identify the archived images and photos will also be arranged in this
stage.

Production - Writing and Sub-editing
In the writing and sub-editing of production, the sub-editor will check the article that has
been written, they will check the grammar and the spelling to make sure there is no
mistake, the sub-editor will also check the length of the article. If the article is too short, the
sub-editor will ask the writer to write more, if the article is too long, the sub-

Post Production - Checking Printers Proof
During the post production,the magazine will be sent to the publishers, the
publishers will then provide a mock-up to give to the editors for their final approval.

Post Production - Completion and Distribution
During the post Production,it will be sent to the distribution company and sent to
retailers and customers from there. It will start once the editors have given their
approval for the magazine to be published and all the final copies are printed and
assembled.

Sub-editor
The job role of sub-editor is a person who checks and edits written content for a
magazine,they will usually check the spelling, grammar, and also the length of the
article if there is any mistake.Their responsibilities include editing to edit error,it also
need to fact-check to verify the article,it also have to craft compelling headline and
captions to attract audience to purchase the magazine.
Writer
A magazine writer is someone who has to do research on what to write for the
magazine. The writer takes the concept from editors, the writer helps them
generate ideas and write about relevant topics depending on the target audience.
Their responsibility is to provide articles and content with the magazine's purpose.
Photographer
A magazine photographer will take photos for a magazine,the photographer needs to
make sure that the people ,place, and product have to be high quality ,their job role
is to take photos for the magazine company to use.Their responsibility is to create a
gallery of images that the magazine may use and also make sure the photo had a
backup in case it is lost or accidentally got deleted.
