WEEK 15

PADILLA, DIANCEL N.

WRITE DOWN YOUR OWN TEST TAKING TIPS WHICH YOU FIND VERY EFFECTIVE FOR YOURSELF AS A
STUDENT

1. Reading the lesson as much as I can, no need to memorize but to understand what the topic is
all about.
2. Writing it and doing my own notes, I can easily remember it when I write it.
3. Using pomodoro technique where I study for 30-60 minutes and rest for the next 20 minutes,
then study again. I do it to give my brain and body a rest as I studying a hard lesson.
4. I usually review and study at dawn time, or 1 am to 5 am, and sometimes looking on the moon
or with the sunrise I am getting more motivated to study.
5. I usually review with a no sound place, where silence is really activated, no music, no one is
talking, just peace. It lets my brain focus on what I am reading.
6. Giving myself a time to rest, have a good sleep before taking a test or exam. My body deserve
that, I don’t force myself if I am sleepy, I let it sleep and wake up by 1 am so I can review
properly.
7. Making my own quiz using different apps, it is important to have enough knowledge on every
topic and it makes me ready to focus. Having my own quiz is just like preparing myself to the
real battle.

JOURNAL WRITING

Study Activities and Habits to Continue:

1. Active learning: Engaging with the material actively through activities such as summarizing, note-
taking, and self-quizzing has been shown to enhance learning and retention.
2. Time management: Setting aside dedicated study time and breaking it down into manageable chunks
can help individuals stay focused and avoid procrastination.
3. Reviewing regularly: Regularly reviewing material helps with retention and reinforces learning.
4. Collaborating with peers: Discussing and working through material with peers can enhance
understanding and provide different perspectives.

Study Activities and Habits to Change:

1. Cramming: Attempting to learn large amounts of material in a short amount of time is not an effective
way to learn and often leads to forgetting the material quickly.
2. Multitasking: Trying to do too many things at once, such as studying while watching TV or scrolling
through social media, can lead to distractions and reduce the effectiveness of learning.
3. Lack of breaks: Taking breaks during study sessions is crucial for mental and physical well-being and
can actually improve productivity.

In summary, continuing to engage in active learning, managing time effectively, reviewing regularly, and
collaborating with peers are beneficial study habits to maintain. On the other hand, avoiding cramming,
multitasking, and taking insufficient breaks are habits that should be changed to optimize learning and
retention.
