In Analytic Geometry, there are at least two ways to determine the midpoint of a line
segment.
The midpoint of a line segment can be found by adding half of the run and half of
the rise to the coordinates of the first ( located to the left ) endpoint.
When you are finding the coordinates of the midpoint of a segment, you are actually
finding the average (mean) of the x-coordinates and the average (mean) of the y-
coordinates.
