I normally dont write much about past events because I like to keep us moving forward, however, this is a special exception. Last week this church hosted a statewide Evangelism Conference. It was a huge success. Our State Missionaries planned and administered it. They are the best. We had over 1000 guests on campus during the day and 1700 for the final evening service. God stirred my heart and many others about reaching lost souls. I also have never been more proud of this church. To pull off something of this magnitude required hundreds of volunteers. There were greeters at all the doors, and attendants for parking. Our members served three meals including cooking, set up, and clean-up. You moved chairs and tables repeatedly. It involved long hours and constant attention. Like any servant of our Lord you did all of this and more, generously, tirelessly and joyfully. Our technical staff flawlessly provided sound, video and lighting. Our choir and orchestra sang and played with a passion that reflected their love for our Lord. I could write another page about our dedicated church staff. There is another often overlooked group I need to thank. This is the hundreds of Eastmont members who have paid for these facilities. Without your sacrifice and generosity, we would not have been able to meet together like this. You had a part in each pastor being revived, each person being blessed and ultimately each soul that will be saved. It was Peter the Great who once humorously said, The more I know people, the more I love my dog. Well, Peter didnt know the people of Eastmont. If he did, he would say The more I know them, the more I love the Lord. Thank you for being what Jesus said was the greatest a servant .
