Addressing Challenges in Elementary, High School, and College Education

Education is important, but students and teachers face different problems at

each level. In my interviews with teachers, I learned about these challenges.

Mrs. Ayen Nuwatt Abellion, a Grade 1 teacher, said some lessons repeat too
much and MTB-MLE or Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education is difficult
to teach.

Mrs. Jane Basing-at, a high school science teacher, said there aren’t enough
books and grading is unclear.

Ms. Jennilyn Magumcia Montilla, a college instructor, said poor internet

connection makes online.

A big problem in elementary school is repeating lessons, which makes

learning harder. Schools should organize lessons better and teachers should
combine similar topics to avoid repetition.

Another issue is MTB-MLE, where students learn in their local language.

Some teachers do not have enough training or materials. Schools should
train teachers and provide better learning materials in local languages.
Parents can also help by using the mother tongue at home.

Many high school students struggle because there aren’t enough books.
Schools should request more books and teachers can use online materials or
create simple study guides to help students

The grading system is also a problem because it is not always fair. Schools
should make grading rules clear so students’ grades are accurate and fair.

In college, internet problems make online learning difficult. Schools should

provide printed modules and recorded lessons for students who have weak
internet. Teachers can also use low-data apps like SMS or Messenger to help
students. The government should also work to improve internet access in
remote areas

Each level of education has its own challenges, but there are ways to solve
them. By improving lesson planning, providing more learning materials,
fixing grading systems, and improving internet access, students can have a
better learning experience. Schools, teachers, parents, and the government
should work together to make education better for everyone
