INTRODUCTION
There are three future Kingdoms and these in include, the Kingdom of Heaven,
where believers will be inheriting eternal life (Matthew 25:34), the Millennial
Kingdom, this Kingdom talks about the reign of Jesus on earth (Isaiah 11:1-10)
and there is the eternal Kingdom, whereby God will be dwelling with his
People(Revelation 21:3-4)

5
BODY

There are three types of Future Kingdoms and these include the Millennial
Kingdom, Eternal Kingdom and the Kingdom of Heaven. The Millennial
kingdom is believed that Christ will rule from Heaven for one thousand years
as a King over the earth, assisted by the 144000 ascended humans. It is
believed that the 1000 year reign, the earth will become paradise, like the
garden of Eden, and humans will themselves return to the perfection lost by
Adam and Eve, this is according to the Jehovah‘s witnesses.

The Millennial refers to the thousand year period mentioned in Revelations 20

vs 4which says ‘And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the
witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the
beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.’
Thus begins after the second coming of Jesus Christ. It also alluded to the next
sections, along with the second coming of Jesus coming, many Christians look
forward to this time with much anticipation.

The Millennial Kingdom is characterised by Jesus Christ’ literal reign on earth,

this is according to Isaiah 11 vs 1-10. There peace, prosperity and
righteousness, (Isaiah 2 vs2-4). Satan is bound, unable to deceive nations
(Revelations 20 vs 1-3). Believers shall be living in harmony with God and each
other. The purpose of this kingdom is to fulfil God’s promise to Israel (Romans
11vs25-27), to also demonstrate God’s perfect rule and reign, and lastly to
prepare the world for eternal Kingdom.

6
Secondly we have the eternal Kingdom. In accordance with prophecy, Jesus set
up His eternal Kingdom but before long, Satan influenced men to start making
changes in the structure of Christ’s Kingdom, the church. These changes took
form of doctrines, practices and structures.
The eternal kingdom of God will be a material place, will be primarily about
relationships, and will be a place of healing. The main reason to believe is that
this will be a real place because God’s flawless record of fulfilling His
predictions.
According to the Bible in the book of 2 Peter 3:13, it says ‘Nevertheless we,
according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein
dwelleth righteousness’. (Revelations 21:1-4), the eternal Kingdom is forever.
The eternal Kingdom is characterised by a new Heaven and earth, this is
according to the book of Revelations 21:1, it says ‘and l saw heaven on earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passes away and there was no
more sea’. In this Kingdom, God dwells in His people, this is according to
Revelations 21:3-4. In the eternal kingdom there is no sin, suffering, or death,
and this is according to Revelations 21:4, is says ‘and God shall wipe away all
tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither shall be no
more death, neither shall be there no more sorrow, nor crying, neither shall
there be no more pain, for former things are passed away.’ In this Kingdom,
believers shall live in internal glory and joy.

The Eternal Kingdom’s purpose is to fulfil God’s ultimate plan for humanity, to
provide an eternal dwelling place for believers, to also showcase God’s infinite
love and grace. Jesus also says in the Bible , that we shall be partakers of divine
nature, this is a promise that he is giving to the believers and it is a future
promise.

7
Lastly, there is the kingdom of Heaven, it is described as a process, a course of
events, whereby God begins to govern or acts as King or Lord in action,
therefore, by which God manifests His being-God in the world of men.
According to Christianity, the kingdom of Heaven is the spiritual realm over
which God reigns as King, of fulfilment on earth of God’s will.

The Kingdom of Heaven is basically an Old Testament concept, David declares

that ‘The Lord is King forever and ever’ (Psalms 10:16 and 29:10), and His
Kingdom is everlasting, and that His dominion ‘endures throughout all
generations’ (Psalms 145:13). Daniel speaks of the ‘Kingdom of Heaven will set
up a kingdom which will never be destroyed’ (Daniel 2:44, Ezekiel 37:25), a
kingdom that is an everlasting, (Daniel 4:3). The God pf Heaven is the King of
Heaven, and the heavenly kingdom is God’s kingdom.

The kingdom of heaven is a future state of blessedness and glory, this is

according to the book of Matthew 25: 34 it says ‘then shall the king say unto
them on his right hand, come ye blessed of my father, inherit the Kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’ (Luke 22:29-30). It is
characterized by inheriting eternal life, Matthew 25:46, it says ‘and these shall
go away into eternal punishment but the righteous into life eternal.’ There is
also living in the presents of God, Revelations 21: 3-4, verse 3 says ‘and l heard
a great voice out of heaven saying, behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,
he will dwell with them, and they shall be with them, and be their God. In the
Kingdom of Heaven there is also enjoyment of eternal rewards and blessings.
The purpose of the kingdom of heaven is ton reward believers for their
faithfulness and to provide an eternal inheritance for those who trust in the
Lord.

8
CONCLUSION

These three kingdoms represent the ultimate fulfilment of God’s plan for all
humanity, demonstrating His Perfect rule, reign and redemption.
