HI THERE ,I’M JADE B. MANUEL ,36 YEARS OLD
AND A MOTHER OF TWO CUTE KIDS ,I BELIEVE
THAT LIFE IS LIKE A RAINBOW BECAUSE THE
COLORS OF THE RAINBOW CAN REPRESENT A
VARIETY OF EMOTIONS, FEELINGS, AND IDEAS.
AND IT SYMBOLIZE OF HOPE, LOVE, HAPPINESS,
AND ACCEPTANCE.
BEING A MOTHER IS TRULY THE BEST AND HARDEST JOB I'VE EVER HAD. I
LOVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RAISE CHILDREN, SHARE IN THEIR LIFE
EXPERIENCES AND WITNESS EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN THROUGH THEIR
EYES. WITH A 5-YEARS-OLD AND A
3-YEARS-OLD, I HAVE FOUND IT HARD TO BALANCE QUALITY TIME AMONG
THE TWO. BUT EVERY DAY IS A NEW OPPORTUNITY TO POUR MY LOVE ON
THEM AND THE JOY THEY BRING IS WORTH ANY HARD DAYS. I BELIEVE
THAT MY LIFE IS COLOFUL AS A RAINBOW BECAUSE OF MY KIDS AND IM SO
HAPPY TO HAVE THEM.

Changing Colors is all about a powerful force that can significantly

impact your mood, emotions, and overall wellbeing.Changing colors
can mean questioning your existence, feeling indecisive, or being
on shaky ground. It can also mean that you can learn important
information about yourself from the colors and the changes. Color
psychology is the study of how colors evoke psychological reactions,
affecting moods and emotions. Different colors can represent
different emotions and moods
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM TAKING
THE UNDERSTANDING THE SELF

I’ve learned that having a clear understanding of one’s

thought and behavioral patterns helps you understand
other people. This ability to empathize facilitates better
personal and professional relationships. To know yourself is
your first priority! How can you realistically set goals,
go about life and have successful relationships if you don't
know who you are or what you want? You really can't. We
tend to underestimate the importance of knowing
ourselves. Many of us go through each day reacting to events
and just getting by rather than making conscious choices
based on who we are and what we want.
Knowing oneself is one of the most important aspects of
personal growth and development. It is the process of
understanding your strengths and weaknesses, your passions
and goals, your values and beliefs, and how these all shape
your actions and decisions.
EASTERN AND WESTERN PERSPECTIVE
OF THE SELF
The Western and Eastern perspectives on the self are
opposite, with the West viewing the self as an individual
entity and the East viewing it as an illusion that is
interconnected with others.

Western perspective
The self is an individual entity
separate from others. Western
thought emphasizes individualism,
personal freedom, and self-
expression. It encourages self-
reflection, self-determination,
and the pursuit of personal goals.
Eastern perspective
The self is an illusion, and we are all
interconnected. Eastern thought
emphasizes interdependence, social
harmony, and respect for
authority. It encourages
compassion, empathy, and a sense of
responsibility towards others and
the environment.
The different perspectives on the self have an impact on
daily lives, relationships, and overall well-being. Both
perspectives offer valuable insights and lessons.
PHILOSOPHICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL
SELF
The philosophical and psychological self reveals a complex
interplay between our conscious experiences, our sense of
identity, and the underlying structures that shape our
perception of ourselves; while philosophy delves into the
abstract nature of the "self" through questions of
existence and meaning, psychology examines the tangible
aspects of our self-concept as influenced by our thoughts,
emotions, and behaviors, ultimately painting a picture of a
dynamic and multifaceted "self" that is constantly evolving
and adapting to our environment.

Philosophical: Critical self-reflection

is crucial for understanding our
values and beliefs, which can guide
our actions and decisions.

Psychological: Self-awareness
is essential for managing
emotions, identifying
cognitive biases, and
developing healthy coping
mechanisms.
ANTHROPOLOGICAL AND SOCIOLOGICAL
SELF
I’ve learned that sociology can affect all aspects of our lives,
each and everyday we learn valuable lessons from society,
friends or family that helps us to improve our living. We can use
the sociology to improve our lives today, so that tomorrow will
be better for ourselves. Anthropology and sociology are both
social sciences that can provide insight into the self and how
people interact with others.
Anthropology
The study of humans as a
whole, including their biology,
psychology, cultures, societies,
and linguistics. Anthropology
can help us understand our
own cultures and societies, as
well as those of others.

Sociology
The study of how human societies
form, are organized, and operate.
Sociology focuses on the lives of
people within a society and how they
interact with each other.

Anthropology and sociology can help us understand how societies

function and how people change their institutions. They can also
help us build stronger social structures and communities.
PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL SELF
Understanding Physical and sexual self will lead to being aware
on what we should be doing. By understand physical self and
sexual self will also have a great affect in your social, ethics,
amd emotions. By just understanding it is a start on a healthy
sexuality and healthy physicality

The physical self is how a

person views their body,
health, and physical
appearance.

The sexual self is how a person views

their sexuality and their sexual
identity

Understanding the way that our own sexuality works is critical to

having a clear self-awareness and an understanding of how we
participate in the world.
MATERIAL AND DIGITAL SELF
The key takeaways are that the
material self reflects our personality
and consists of our possessions, desires,
and preferences. It also includes our
family, clothing, body, and home
according to the passage. We all know
that one of happiness in life is to buy
the things that we need .

The digital self refers to a person's

online persona and identity, which
may differ from their real-world
identity. An individual's online
identity is shaped by how they
present themselves across various
websites and interactions.

SELF-CONCEPT IS THE MULTIDIMENSIONAL PERCEPTION OF WHO WE ARE,

INCLUDING SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-IMAGE.
IT EVOLVES THROUGH EXPERIENCES, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDHOOD AND
ADOLESCENCE, INFLUENCED BY SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS.
SELF-CONCEPT AFFECTS COMMUNICATION, ACHIEVEMENT, AND
BEHAVIOR, WITH ACTIVITIES LIKE JOURNALING AIDING ITS GROWTH.
SPIRITUAL AND POLITICAL SELF

The Spiritual Self is you in your most

beautiful and powerful form. It is
the authentic self, the unconditioned
part, the you without patterns. This is
personal for each of us, so no need to
get caught up on the language. We all
know that god knows all of our
concerns and resentful of life and he
knows how to solve it ,all we need is
confess to him.

The political self is a part of

understanding the self that involves
organizing political information that
is relevant to oneself. It is
developed through socialization,
which can be influenced by family,
school, church, peers, and media.
Social interaction helps people
understand politics and their role in
the political community

A "SPIRITUAL AND POLITICAL SELF-REFLECTION" INVOLVES EXAMINING HOW YOUR

PERSONAL VALUES AND BELIEFS ABOUT A HIGHER POWER OR MEANING IN LIFE
INTERSECT WITH YOUR VIEWS ON SOCIETAL STRUCTURES, POWER DYNAMICS, AND
POLITICAL ISSUES, LEADING TO A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF YOUR ROLE WITHIN
THE COMMUNITY AND YOUR MOTIVATIONS FOR ENGAGING IN POLITICAL ACTION
CONCLUSION
We have so much to say about the people around us. We spend
enormous amounts of energy and millions of thoughts in our
lifetime thinking about the good and the bad qualities that
other people possess. We don’t leave anyone out, either, and
even talk about complete strangers (at times with great
interest).
But there is someone we do tend to forget about, sometimes
for great lengths of time and sometimes for entire lifetimes
and that person is hidden somewhere deep within our own minds
—ourselves. Knowing yourself will enable you to develop your
full potential to be happy, contented and fulfilled.
The only person we have the ability to control and change is
ourselves and yet we spend so little time and energy on
spending time thinking about ourselves.
Understanding yourself is a key aspect of being human. It can
help you understand others, make career decisions, and plan for
your development.
Your self-concept is your view of yourself, including your
physical characteristics, emotions, aspirations, and
achievements. A positive self-concept can lead to feelings of
security, contentment, and pleasantness.
Understanding your own emotions and experiences can help you
relate to others' struggles and triumphs. This empathy can help
you create a safe space for authentic connection and offer
compassion and support.
The scientific method uses experimental and observational data
to provide an objective analysis of the self. This approach can
lead to a different view of the self than the approach taken in
the humanities.
