GUIDELINES FOR MIDTERM ASSESSMENT

Requirement:
Students are asked to analyze the “aging workforce”, OR “diverse workforce”, OR “trends in
employing e-HRM” in a selected country.

Assignment Guide:
 Each student selects ONLY ONE topic among the three topics above.
 The structure of the essay should be systematic, and coherent with the various arguments
and counterarguments presented logically.
 Start with a clear introduction addressing the topic and the selected country, then identify
the key issues.
 Analyze workforce-related data from the selected country to critically evaluate how the
workforce situation may impact organizations, especially from the HR perspectives.
 Based on your analysis, provide HRM recommendations to organizations in that country.
 A conclusion to the essay is required that details what issues have been explored in the
essay with summative commentary that responds to the essay statement. It should match
the introductory paragraph(s).
 The length of your essay should be between 1,500 and 2,000 words (excluding
references and appendices).
 Follow the citing and referencing guidelines of the 7th APA Style. Refer to this link for

 Plagiarism (in any kind), or the use of AI writing is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Results from these activities will not be tolerated and students will get a zero for the
assignment.

The structure:
The essay includes the following sections:
First Page (Cover page) (IU logo, Subject, Student name and surname, ID student, Date of
submission, Word count)
1. Introduction (up to 500 words)
2. Analysis (up to 800 words)
3. Recommendations (up to 500 words)
4. Conclusion (up to 200 words)
5. References (a minimum of 10 references is expected, with at least five references from journal
articles)
6. Appendices and supplementary materials
