Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a technology that solves problems and makes decisions quickly, improving various industries such as healthcare and finance. It has evolved from early concepts in the 1950s to modern applications like chatbots and self-driving cars, with three main types: ANI, AGI, and ASI. While AI offers significant advantages, it also faces limitations and challenges as it continues to shape our future.

Artificial Intelligence

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

• It solves problems and makes decisions fast

• The capacity to learn and solve problems
• Performing tasks that typically require human
intelligence
• AI improves industries like healthcare, finance
and technology
• It evolves continuously, shaping our digital future
• It changes how people work and live
• Used in phones, cars, and smart technology

3 Types of Artificial
Intelligence

1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence

(ANI)

2. Artificial General Intelligence

(AGI)

3. Artificial Super Intelligence

(ASI)
Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI)

Ø The goal-oriented version of AI

designed to better perform a
single task.
Ø ANI is limited to just one job at
a time.
Ø It is designed to perform a
single function like an internet
search, face recognition, or
speech detection under various
constraints and limitations.
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)

Ø The hypothetical intelligence

of a machine that possesses
the ability to understand or
learn any intellectual task
that a human being can.
Ø It is a type of artificial
intelligence (AI) that aims to
mimic the cognitive abilities
of the human brain.
Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI)

Ø Hypothetical future form of

Artificial Intelligence (AI) that
surpasses the intelligence and
cognitive abilities.
Ø Type of AI that would be
smarter than humans in every
way. It wouldn’t just learn and
think like a person (like AGI) it
would be far more intelligent,
creative, and capable of solving
problems.
Application of AI in Healthcare
• Medical Diagnosis - identifies diseases
from medical images fast and helps
doctors with early disease detection.
• Health Monitoring - tracks heart rate
and blood pressure levels, detects
abnormal changes in health data and
sends alerts for emergency medical care.
• Administrative Tasks - automates
medical record-keeping processes,
reduces paperwork for hospital
management and helps schedule patient
visits efficiently.
Application of AI in Chatbots

• ChatGPT (by OpenAI) is a

modern AI chatbot that
understands and generates human-
like text. It can answer questions,
write content, and chat naturally.

• Gemini (by Google) is another

advanced AI model designed for
text, images, and code, competing
with ChatGPT in AI-powered
tasks.
Application of AI in Self-Driving Cars

• Vehicles that use AI to drive without

human control. They rely on sensors,
cameras, and machine learning to
detect roads, traffic, and obstacles.
• AI helps them make decisions, like
stopping at signals or avoiding
collisions.
• Companies like Tesla, Waymo, and
Cruise are developing these cars to
improve safety and convenience.
Application of AI in Robotics

• A Robot is a mechanical or virtual

artificial agent, usually an electro
mechanical machine that is guided
by a computer program or
electronic circuitry.
• It helps robots learn, adapt, and
make decisions without needing
constant human control and make
robots smarter and more
autonomous.
CONCLUSION
AI is transforming industries and
daily life by solving problems,
automating tasks, and improving
efficiency.While AI has advantages,
such as automation and intelligence,
it also has limitations and
challenges. As technology advances,
AI will play an even bigger role in
shaping the future, offering endless
possibilities for innovation and
progress.
