Guidelines for Faculties

1) Maximum two project groups can be allotted to each faculty.


2) Innovative ideas selected by DRC (Department Review Committee) will be allotted as
projects.
3) Student’s allotment will be based on area of Interest .
4) Project diary is the reflection of work executed by the student throughout the academic
year, so every possible care needs to be taken while maintaining this diary.
5) Assessment of each student is to be done on the significant contribution made by him/

her throughout the year.
6) Every possible care needs to be taken by guide to avoid malpractice in project work.
7) Weekly one meeting has to engage with group members.
8) HOD or higher authorities may surprisingly check this diary, keep it up to date.
9) Before finalizing the industry sponsored project, guide has to check the genuineness of
problem.
10) At least Twice in a semester, guide has to visit industry for assessing the progress of
industry sponsored project.
11) Report preparation guidelines are given in the diary, go through it and tell students to
follow the same.
12) Tell students to review their stage I/II draft reports from other guides.
13) Encourage group to publish/exhibit their work in renowned competition.
14) Guide has to remain present at the time of his/her group’s presentation.
15) Term work marks will be given on continuous assessment only.

Guidelines for Students:

1) Students can select guide depending upon area of interest of guide , HOD has right to
allot guide to few groups depending upon students’ performance .
2) Student should write the work to be done by them and get it signed.
3) Attend weekly meeting with project guide without fail and complete task within given
time.

4) Attend and contribute in every presentation. Each presentation has marks remember
that.
5) Every group has to submit synopses at the time of Topic Approval Presentation.
6) Those groups engaged with industry project, for them their guide will visit the industry
and the photo proof of the same is needed to be printed at the back of their final project
report.
9) Read the guidelines given for preparing project report.
10) Along with the mentioned copies of final report, group has to submit complete project
work in soft copy at the time of final examination, if required.
11) Project set up has to be submitted to college after final project oral.
12) Utmost care and discipline should be exercised for project activity.

Expected Course Outcome of the Project:

a) Write the problem/task specification in existing systems related to the


occupation.
b) Select, collect and use required information /knowledge to solve the problem /
complete the task.
c) Logically choose relevant possible solution(s).
d) Consider the ethical issues related to the project (if there are any).
e) Assess the impact of the project on society (if there is any).
f)Prepare project proposals with action plan and time duration scientifically before
beginning of project
e) Communicate effectively and confidently as a member and leader of team.
