A DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE III

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of this lesson, the pupils will be able to,

a. Identify the different types of weather,

b. Demonstrate the weather and the different types of weather condition; and

c. Draw and illustrate the different types of weather condition.

Reference: MELC-S3ES-IVe-f-3 (Week 3-4) Lesson Guides in Elementary Science Grade III, pp. 180-182

Materials: Visual Aids, Pictures, Tarpaper, Television (Video-Presentation)

D. LESSON PROPER

- Weather is the state of the atmosphere,


describing for example the degree to which it is
hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or
cloudy.
- It is what the sky and the air outside are like,
such as cold and cloudy, sunny or rainy, windy or
stormy.

*Now I am going to discuss to you the different


kinds of weather condition.

Can you tell me what is the weather condition Ma’am, the weather condition of the picture
this picture? is sunny day.

Very good! It's sunny day.

- Sunny weather days are days when there are


very little or no clouds in the sky. We usually
experience more sunny days in the summer when
the days are warmer.

Very good! So, what is the weather condition in


this picture? It is cloudy day.

Exactly!

-Cloudy weather days when the sky is cloudy. Its


so full of clouds that you can’t see the sun.

- Rainy weather days are days where heavy


clouds are pouring water, or it is a condition of
the atmosphere where water falls from the sky.

-Windy weather days are days where there is a


strong breeze that you could even feel in your
cheeks. That rush of air is the wind we
experience.

What is the weather condition in this picture?


Stormy day.

-Stormy weather days are days where there are


strong winds and heavy rain. During a storm,
there are thunderstorm, the sky is dark, lightning
flashes and Thunder cracks.

What did you observe during stormy day?


There are strong winds, dark clouds, pelting
rain and sometimes there is lightning.
What will you do if the weather is stormy?
I will stay inside our house.
I think he will put his life in danger
