Criteria A- Planning
Strand 1 State a learning goal for the project and explain how personal interest led to that goal
Personal Connection
Me and my dad have a very strong bond 1 of the reasons for those bonds is shooting, ever since I was a
child we used to almost every 2nd weekend drive to our hometown and use our air pistol to shoot down
targets that we made on our own. The happiness I would see on my dads face whenever I did good
pushed me to get better and personally those are some of my happiest memories. After a few years of
these small trips I wanted to indulge in the sport professionally so I joined my schools Shooting Academy
and from there I have successfully went on to play till nationals qualifications further more I have played a
bunch of local rounds and manage to get a good ranking and won medals along with that. During last
week though I noticed something wrong in my process but I could just not place it and my coaches are
very helpful but I just wished that I had some kind of source which would just cover the whole shooting
process and tips and tricks made by someone who was qualified enough to make it, unfortunately for me
Pistol Shooting 10m is still a very niche so there are not to many resources out there for me to utilize. I
want to make these videos for myself and for all the other shooters who have a burning passion for the
sport, I want to give this new wave of shooters what I was not able to get.
Learning Goal
My Learning Goal for my Personal Project is to deepen my understand about the shooting process, Learn
how to effectively communicate information to my target audience and also to learn how to edit videos
to make my videos visually appealing and captivating which will help my target audience better
understand the content of the video.
My product objective is facilitated by my learning objective in the sense that the objective of
understanding how to shoot and to communicate effectively enables the creation of an informative and
interesting series of videos directly. Being skilled in video editing assures that the information is both
engaging to watch and easy to understand, facilitating the objective of teaching my audience. With these
skills, the product—a 2-video series summarizing shooting methodology, rules, and tips—is made
informative and interesting, which is my purpose of teaching the audience how to shoot better
Strand 2 State an intended product and develop appropriate Successes criteria for the product
Product Goal
The Product is going to be an approximately 4 videos and 2min to 3min long video long series in which I
guide the viewer through the whole process on how to shoot with an Air pistol(Trigger Control,
Positioning and more), how to and how to practice and in the final videos I will also tell the audience
about some tips and tricks to employ during the process. The videos will feature me visually explaining
the content with an Air Pistol, the videos will have subtitles for English and Hindi so more people can
interact with it but the language will be english. My videos will also be edited to look and sound as
Appeling as possible. The Videos will be recorded at my schools shooting arena which has all the content
a 10m range needs. The videos will be made with the help of my coach who will help verify the whole
process is up to the mark and also film the videos.
Strand 3. Present a clear, detailed plan for achieving the product and its associated success criteria
I applied Research Skills to deepen my understanding of the shooting process by analyzing online
resources and consulting my coach. Through this, I gathered detailed knowledge about techniques such
as trigger control,
positioning, and practice drills. Additionally, I researched effective filming and editing methods to ensure
my videos were both instructional and visually engaging. This helped me align the content with the needs
of beginners while maintaining technical accuracy.
I used Communication Skills to transform complex shooting concepts into clear, beginner-friendly
explanations. Writing concise, structured scripts and practicing delivery helped me ensure my
demonstrations were easy to follow. By focusing on tone, pacing, and body language, I made the videos
more engaging. These skills also enabled me to add subtitles in English and Hindi, enhancing accessibility
for a wider audience.

Producing this video series on shooting with an air pistol has been a life-changing experience for me,
especially in the area of communication. At first, I had difficulty articulating my thoughts clearly and
assertively. I was shy and reluctant to express my ideas, especially when other people were around. This
made it difficult for me to interact with my peers and express my love for shooting.
Still, as I approached this project, I knew I had to go outside my comfort zone. I had to take the planning
and production of the videos to express my understanding of trigger control, positioning, and practice
techniques in a manner that would be interactive and educational to esearch
Throughout the creation of my video series, research was an essentialaspect in bringing the final product
together, specifically within the context of video editing. As one who had no experience in the area
before, I knew I had to be skilled enough to bring a finalized, polished piece. I did much research on how
to acquaint myself with editing programs and how to edit generally.
I researched tutorials, online lectures, and blog posts that taught me about the editing process itself, such
as how to chop and organize video, insert transitions, and insert audio elements with effectiveness. It was
a tough but rewarding learning experience because I had to adapt to new instruments and ideas that
were foreign to me at first.
From this research, I was able to find the significance of visual narrative and how editing is important in
enhancing the experience of the viewer. I was taught how to compile a unified narrative by selecting the
best shots and ensuring that the pacing of the video maintained the attention of the audience. I also
learned some of the techniques to improve video quality, like color correction and sound editing, which
helped deliver a more professional-grade final output.
Generally speaking, the study I undertook on video editing not only enhanced my technical capability but
also allowed me to be able to share my ideas visually. This learning has reaffirmed the importance of in-
depth study in any kind of creative process, and I look forward to utilizing these newly acquired skills in
subsequent projects.
Communication
All the learning videos are built on clear communication, given which I considered this a vital element
right from the onset of the project. For all my research-based or revolutionary ideas, concepts had no
value if I was failing to hassle the audience. I was pondering over a couple of the concepts regarding the
execution and the medium through which my ideas were relayed.
To put everything on a whole new level, I narrowed the complicated concepts to their simplest form. My
primary goal was to improve the tone and the pace of my speech in order to make it's welcoming and
inviting enough to entice viewers to watch and engage with the content.
This enabled me to reach out to more people and removed the language barrier. Adding subtitles in
English and Hindi were essential in fostering communication. I learned the importance of adapting to
different means of communication, as I had to consider the multiple aspects of my audience and tailor my
message accordingly.
In general, utilizing research and verbal communication skills for this particular project has been helpful. I
have learned more about shooting techniques as well as aquired new knowledge.
Criteria C1
Reflection
Research
Throughout the process of creating my video series, research was a key factor in finalizing the product,
this being in the realm of video editing. Since I had never done anything in the industry before, I knew
that I needed to be efficient enough to be able to create a finalized, polished piece. I did a tremendous
amount of research regarding how to get myself familiar with the editing program and how to edit as a
whole.
I learned tutorials, online lectures, and blog sites that taught me the editing process itself, such as how to
chop and cut video, place transitions, and insert audio components with effectiveness. It was an arduous
but rewarding learning experience because I had to discover new instruments and ideas that were new to
me at first.
I learned from this research the significance of visual narration and how editing contributes to enhancing
the perception of the viewer. I was taught how to compile an integrated narrative through the selection
of best shots while maintaining the rhythm of the video so that it captured the interest of the audience. I
also learned some of the video improvement skills like color correction and sound editing, which helped
in delivering a better professional-quality final output.
All things aside, my study of video editing not only sharpened my technical abilities but gave me the skill
to express my ideas in pictures. From this experience, I am reminded of the significance of proper
research in whatever kind of creative process one has engaged, and I look forward to implementing the
newly acquired skill sets in upcoming projects.
Communication
Clear communication is the foundation of any learning video, and I had appreciated its significance right
from the beginning of this project. Regardless of how research-oriented or creative my concepts were,
they would be meaningless if I was unable to present them to my audience in a clear fashion. It led me to
think hard about how I was presenting my ideas and how I structured my presentations.
To make things clear, I worked on simplifying complicated ideas into easy-to-understand, bite-sized
pieces. I became proficient in using analogies and everyday examples to simplify the content. I also made
sure that I paid attention to my tone and pace, attempting to establish a welcoming and inclusive
environment that would invite viewers to interact with the content.
Addition of English and Hindi subtitles was an important measure towards further improving
communication. It helped me speak with a larger crowd of people and ensured that language never
proved to be an impediment in the understanding of things. Through this exercise, I was able to realize
how being adaptive while communicating was critical because I needed to keep the heterogeneous
nature of my listeners in view and adjust my message in conformity.
Overall, the use of research and communication skills throughout this project has been worth it. Not only
have I learned more about ways of shooting, but I have gained information on how to share my
knowledge. This exercise has helped reaffirm the importance of good communication so that ideas can be
shared and comprehension established, and I hope to be able to continue developing these skills in the
future.
Product evaluation
My pp project involved a set of tutorial videos to teach people how to shoot an Air Pistol from 10m away.
2 2- to 3-minute videos showed me detailing vital concerns such as trigger control, stance, and practice
techniques.
I showcased the techniques in video format using an Air Pistol, We recorded the videos at my school
shooting club, where we had all the paraphernalia for a 10m facility. My coach helped in ensuring the
authenticity of the content and the filming.
To ensure the best quality, I used a quality camera to capture clear images. Editing involved chopping,
inserting transitions, and motion graphics to ensure that the content was visually appealing. I also
included an intro and an outro to give the series a formal look. Various camera shots, like close shots and
mid-shots, were utilized to highlight major details.
My investigation included discovering the optimum camera equipment within my budget that was
available to me, learning video editing, and learning how to research various camera shots to improve the
quality of the production. My Air Pistol Shooting team also provided me with their feedback to ensure
that my instructions were simple and easy to follow. The videos were made for shooters of all ages who
were interested in 10m Air Pistol Shooting. They were made to instruct the beginners in the basics and
refresh the memory of the experienced shooters about the basics. The tips and tricks given towards the
end of the series were intended to assist in accuracy and performance improvement.
In an effort to make sure everything was in its proper place, I walked myself through the shooting process
step by step and dissected each description into essential components, including trigger balance and sight
alignment. The course was intended to be instructional yet enjoyable and thus represents a worthwhile
instructional resource for future Air Pistol competitors.
To make sure that everything was correct, I thoroughly went through the shooting process and divided
each explanation into major elements, including trigger balance and sight alignment. The series was
designed to be informative as well as entertaining, and thus it is a useful learning tool for future Air Pistol
shooters.
Overall Evaluation
I believe I produced a successful product, but not to the best of my ability. I believe I did good considering
my knowledge in the field of video editing and communication, but nothing is perfect and there is still
space for development. My main weakness was definatly communication as it was not something that
had ever been my best suit, I believe reducing the stutters I did throughout the video would improve its
quality but ultimately I did produce a respectable product which works and is what I wanted to a great
extent, at last I did meet my goals and am proud of what I have accomplished
