iPhone Version
GETTING STARTED
Switcher Studio lets you capture and stream video from multiple iPhones and iPads and
edit it in real time helping you connect with your community in the most engaging way
yet.

Switcher Studio App for iPhone

You will receive your Login Credentials for Switcher Studio two weeks before your final
performance. Once you have downloaded the Switcher Studio App, you can login and
start practicing with Switcher!

Here's a checklist on how to get started.

1. Download the Switcher Studio App from the App Store:

2. Watch an overview video of Switcher Studio. Everything you need to know to get
started with Switcher Studio can be found in this video. It talks about the user
interface layout, connecting another wireless camera, adding images,
pre-recorded videos, multiview video effects, transition effects, camera controls,
audio connections, Director mode, streaming to your patrons, and more.

3. Set Up Your Gear. You can use Switcher Studio on iPhones, iPads, and iPod
Touches on iOS 13 or newer. All you need to start using Switcher is an iOS
device with the Switcher Studio app installed, a Switcher Studio account, and a
data or Wi-Fi connection. However, if you want to have a more robust production,
we recommend connecting additional iOS devices to capture more angles.

4. Check Your Internet Speed on Your Devices. To stream with Switcher, you’ll
need a consistent upload speed of at least 3 Mbps. We recommend checking
your speed at a site like speedof.me/. Make sure to test your speed in an
environment similar to the one in which you’ll be running your production. (For
instance, if you plan to stream in a busy public location, make sure to test the
speed when the location is busy.) Speeds can vary, so ensure you’re consistently
getting at least 3 Mbps before you stream.
Using the iOS app on multiple devices

If you plan to use multiple iOS devices for your production, you’ll designate one device
as the primary switching device (i.e. the switcher) and any other devices as a remote
camera. You’ll use the switcher device to control your video production. You can
pre-load the switcher device with graphics, prerecorded video, and other media assets
to use during your production. You’ll also use the switcher device to set up your stream.
Logging Into Your Switcher Studio App

After receiving your Switcher Studio Credentials, log in into the Switcher Studio App and
click “Use As Switcher.”

The first thing you’ll want to do is choose your Broadcast Channel. To do this, click on
the Outputs/Destinations Tab (little square with the arrow) at the bottom. Then choose
Custom RTMP On The Stage Center Stream. Once selected you are automatically
connected to your On The Stage Viewing Page.
Uploading your Pre Recorded Video (AKA Assets)

Assets are images, text graphics, and pre-recorded videos that can be used during your
production. You can import assets into the Switcher Studio app from a variety of
