The Solar System
The Solar System
planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. The planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter,
Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Each planet has unique characteristics, such as Earth's ability
to support life and Jupiter being the largest planet. The Solar System formed about 4.6
billion years ago from a cloud of gas and dust. Scientists continue to explore space to learn
more about our cosmic neighborhood.
