system to avoid plagiarism. The recommended word limit is 2,500 to 3,000 words,
although you will not be penalised for exceeding the total word limit.

You are a trainee assistant to the Operations Manager of a large international coffee/

And, have been asked to write a report to explain the principles of operations
management. The report will outline an overview of the organisation’s operations. You
are also required to explain how operations support the organisation’s long-term
strategies and the systems, processes and tools used to achieve strategic business
objectives.
The report must include the following:
1. Introduction to the organisation
2. An analysis of the role of operations management across a range of sectors,
the important and contribution of supply chains, and application operations
management and operational techniques.
3. Examine the use of digital technologies for operational performance, and
relationship between effective operations management and the achievement
of tactical and strategic business objectives.
4. What different techniques and analysis framework can be used to support
operations managers in decision-making to solve problems and achieve high
operational performance by giving evidence-based examples.
