With deepest gratitude and appreciation, we humbly thanks to the people who, with all they can,
helped us in making my On-the-Job Training a possible one.
To our parents, further an ending love and support, for providing all our needs financially and
morally, for their patients and understanding during our tiring days that we can't help them on the
chores, for their never fading advices and for being there for us no matter what.
To the institution where we are studying, Negros Oriental State University, Bais City, Campus 1,
where we are continuously growing as a Bachelor of Science in Criminology Students.
To all our teacher who shared and continuously sharing their knowledge with students like us
and keep on molding us into a better person. We are extending our warm of thanks especially to
Mr. Marvin Puzon, MCRIM, OJT Coordinator and P/CAPT Fred A. Redira (Ret) LPT, and to the
rest of the Negros Oriental State University, we are grateful for having them as a part or our On-
the-Job Training. For all their advices and for everything that they taught as during our stay with
them and most of all, for the memories we've shared-the happy moments, the sorrowful ones, the
rush hours, the brainstorming and nerve-wracking days and for everything that they did that
contribute to our growth as a human being. We think them so much.
To our friends and co-trainees, for the happiness and for being there to support us and to comfort
us whenever we have difficulties during our training. We thank them for the friendship and
teamwork and for being our companions whom we can share our laughter and sorrows with.
Above all, to our Almighty God, for his unconditional love and for all the blessings he is
showering upon us each day of my life. With love and gratitude, we thank him for guiding us
during our training and for making this On-the-Job Training a possible one. For the provision
and wisdom, he has bestowed upon us, for keeping us and our loved ones always safe, forgiving
us enough knowledge and ability to perform each task that was assigned to us and for the
challenges he has given us that made us stronger than ever. We thank him for his comfort during
the times that we are about to give up. By his grace, we were able to finish this training without
any conflict.
Most of all, we thank him for his world that keeps on reminding us that "I can do all things
through Christ which strengthened me." (Phil. 4:13)

Name of Student
On-the-Job Training is a part of a college curriculum that aims to train an orient students about
the work and their future career. It is a type of skill development where a worker learns how to
do the work through hands-on-experience. On-the-Job Training is one method by which students
are exposed with different work situation designed to give students on opportunity to experience
and a chance to apply the theories and computations that they have learned from the school. It
also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work
setting.
OJT is very important not only to teach students regarding their chosen career but also to show
students the reality about working. The students will be exposed to the actual work related to the
course that they are taking. It also allows those with no experience to work and to learn at the
same time. On-the-Job Training helps the trainee to learn more about his chosen field and
practice what he has learned from the school. It helps in the building up for the trainees
competence. Of course, when a student is competent enough, he will be able to do things
successfully and this training develops one's professionalism in dealing with people. After the
training, the trainee will be able to handle situation properly and he/she will able to know how to
socialize well with his colleagues. He/she will also be able to work well with anyone and he'll
have a good teamwork. OJT also enhances the critical thinking abilities and discipline of the
students conducting his training in a company. His ability to make sound decision and evaluate
pertinent factors will be improved.
Having a proper On-the-Job Training helps in the preparation of future professionals for their
future jobs. What the students learned in their On-the-Job Training, even the little things can be
applied when they are already working. Students will be trained not only academically but
socially as well. The way they work and communicate with others will not be a problem for them
anymore. It also gives the trainee the chance to immerses himself in his chosen field and
experience and learn the skills necessary to the industry he is interested in. Working with
experienced staff, one will be able to observe how the job is done properly.
Aside from work experience, On-the-Job Training allows the trainee to get acquainted with the
real professionals and to meet people having different positions in the company, either high or
low. The trainee will be able to know how to adjust to other people's personalities and attitudes.
On-the-Job Training requires effort and seriousness. A trainee should take the OJT seriously as it
can be a powerful tool for a person in preparing for the next chapter of life as a professional. It
takes that big lift from being students to career professional someday.

Week 1 (Narrative)
Bais City Police Station where we assigned to conduct our On-the-Job Training. On our first day
of training, we were very excited and somewhat nervous because of the new environment and the
new people surrounding us. We didn't have any idea of what kind of people they are and it made
us adjust our self with their personalities and attitudes.
Our training supervisor accompanied us to the company/agency where we will be staying during
our On-the-Job Training. The first task that our Training Supervisor asked to do is to distribute
the flyers of the Agency. Some may laugh at our first task which is to distribute the flyers of the
Agency, but they do not know that we've learned many things which are related in our chosen
course-Bachelor of Science in Criminology. While we were distributing the flyers, we realized
that we had conquer our shyness when we were giving the flyers to other people.
Our first week were really a good start and we were motivated to perform excellently because of
what we had already accomplished and because of our supervisor who is very accommodating
and kind to us.

LEARNINGS
The training we have at Name of Agency is learning many experiences each day. We are
exposed in the actual work in name of agency, became familiar with many things especially
those that are not taught in the school and learned hot to use equipment that are usually used in
repairing. Aside from those things, we also learned to be more sociable and to adjust ourselves in
the environment where we are working at and who we are working with.
In more than 2 months we stay there, we learned many things not only those that are related to
our course, but also the things that molded us into the person we are working as a trainee at
Agency, we learned to become a hard-working person. The time to finish the task assigned to us
are important, but it is also important that we should do it correctly. We learned to appreciate
even the simplest lessons studied in school. We were able to understand the importance of
theories and formulas that were discussed in the school. Also, to realize that everything that was
taught in the school can be a tool that can be used in our future career, because during our On-
the-Job Training, the terms that we had learned from the agency where we were conducting our
training, especially those terms related to Police Operation. As we were conducting our training,
we also learned to follow the instructions and to accept or admit our failure and should learn
from it as what out training supervisor said to us.
After the training, we realized that On-the-Job Training is not just a requirement to be completed
but it is an opportunity to show what skills, knowledge and talents that we have also an
opportunity to experience that feeling of being a professional already.
Aside from the experiences that we have relating to our On-the-Job Training allowed us to get
acquainted with the employees of Agency. During our stay there as a trainee, they kept on
encouraging and motivating us to study had and to do our best always.
We won't forget our Training Supervisors who challenged not just our skills and abilities but our
patience. They are a kind of person who wants everything to be done instantly and correctly.
They don't like having doubts. We were always nervous whenever they call for our help. But
with that experiences that we have with our training supervisors, we were so thankful to them
because they taught us to be more patient and to be confident of what we know is right and not to
have doubt about what we can do. Another person that I have learned something from is the
leader of our team. Whenever he asks me to do something, he always keeps on saying that I
should do things slowly but surely. He never pressured me to make haste in doing the tasks that
he has given me. All of the people I have worked with during my On-the-Job Training are very
inspiring. They left a piece of advice to me that I will surely keep in my mind and in my heart for
the rest of my life.
We really had a very meaningful and memorable On-the-Job Training at Agency. Though we
already finished working there as a trainee, we were looking forward to working with them, not
as a trainee anymore, but as of their personnel someday.
CONCLUSION
Nothing beats experience as the perfect learning tool. This On-the-Job Training served as my
stepping stone to pursue my dream to be a Police Officer someday. This training gave me an
inspiration to be more serious and focused in studying. I was encouraged to do more efforts in
my studies. Since I was given some ideas about the work of an officer in the agency where I
conducted my training. I am inspired to be like them someday.
Despite the short period of my training, it was still a very meaningful one. The training enriched
my confidence created a foundation of being a good employee someday. It caused a very huge
effect to me as a Bachelor of Science in Criminology student. I was really renewed. I learned to
be diplomatic in both action and words.
This training made me realize that is really good to know what you're doing, and to love it. As a
student, what I can do for now is to learn whatever I can in school, be inspired, love the path I
am taking, and do my best in everything I do, with positive outlook in mind. I realized that I
should be more focused in school and do everything heartily and with all that I can.
My On-the-Job Training is very helpful and will be very helpful to me as I continue to take my
journey as a fourth year student in the field of Law Enforcement. It really gave me a taste of the
real world. A glimpse of what lies ahead after I graduate.
